UAVs: Will Our Civil Liberties be "Droned Out?"

Big Brother is watching you!
Yes. I don't see how anyone could look at this as a positive.

COG, they aren't just watching; they are judging, and only "they" know what the rules are.

Unless they are flying really high, I expect quite a few drones to be shot down by Patriots exercising their 2nd Amendment rights. It is disgusting the excuses being used for the military to be spying on Americans in clear violation of the Constitution. There is a coming 2nd Revolution.
they better keep the little rascals high during dove season or when Cheney is quail hunting.
Modern technologies obviously give rogue law enforcement agencies and individuals opportunities of which they could only have dreamed a few years ago.

But something else also gives me cause for concern. Note the video segment showing how real estate brokers can produce impressive, photo-laden presentations by utilizing tiny camera-fitted drones that swoop in over subject properties. That suggests that just about anyone who can come up with a few bucks might be able to get their hands on one of these little marvels.

They could potentially offer harassers, stalkers, robbers, and all sorts of other miscreants the ability to wreak havoc like never before.

Personally, I would disguise the drones as doves and entice Cheney and Bush to come shooting for them,

But have them secretly equipped with hellfire missiles that would fire back!

. . . We would always claim it was done for National Security!

Interesting how "wars" can steal your freedom depending on who they claim the enemy is. We have become conditioned to accepting surveilence with some even longing for more of it. Be careful what you wish for as it may one day be something you are doing that is the new evil.

FastGoon, I hope the Secret Service pay you a little visit for that threat. It wasn't funny, regardless who it was directed at.

Drones replacing the stake out as the choice of survaliance is pathetic and they will be abused by L.E. to spy on that hot chick they just gave a ticket to sunbathing. hmmm maybe I need to visit radioshack. Bright side more keyboard warrior, fps kids out of high school, will atleast have an occupation to shoot for that isn't out of reach.

Eisenhower warned us of the coming Military Industrial Complex. Well, this is just another manifestation. Orwell was right. I just can't believe it is happening in America. I use to love this country. I was one of those "My country-- right or wrong" type of folks. No more. I'm turning into one of those 60s question authority types. Funny thing, Ron and Rand Paul seem to be the only ones speaking out on these dangers. It is time for the Libertarians to rise and wrest control of this country away from the Obamas and McCains!

Okay, you old gizzard, do you hear that knocking on your door?

It's the humor police and they want to talk to your grumpy old ass!

. . . You have the right to remain silent!

We live in a police state. How long until they come for you?
