holy cow..from the washington times? not good.

Obama invites the Supreme Court to his State of the Union address and snubs them...

Obama invites Rep Paul Ryan to his address on the economy and snubs him...

(See a pattern?)

Do you seriously think GWB was going to attend Obama's Ground Zero "spike the football" campaign speech?

On a related note, though, I wish someone could confirm or deny the story reported in the link below a few days ago. If this is true, this nation has an even bigger problem with this empty suit PO(tu)S in the WH...

Still looking for boogey man under your bed at your age so sad.
How long did it take you to scour the internet and find this one? That's the beauty of the First Amendment. If you look long enough, and hard enough, there's at least one other crack-pot in the world , besides yourself, who can publicly say things that you can agree with.

Imagine Mexico sending troops into El Paso on a Kill or Capture and finding out that they went to the wrong compound - i mean - apartment complex. lol.

POTUS: I said NO.
Others: Well, we're gonna do it anyway.

If that's the case, the "over-ruling", I believe that that's considered mutiny, treason, or gross insubordination, at the least. And for all reports, they'd had suspicions for months, even years, that some high value target was living in that compound. Why the sudden rush to action on this particluar day, hour, minute - Petreus threatens to do it himself. Yeah, and disobey a direct order from your commander in chief.. Some of us have the ability to impartially analyze news stories and don't allow ourselves to be spoon-fed or have our opinions formed for us by others.

Way to try to sensationalize and distort the facts to fit your agenda. The POTUS hesitated b/c, as all other reports have stated, not just one anonymous source, visual confirmation of OBL, in that location, had not been made. So the POTUS was faced with the decision of illegally violating another country's sovereignity and borders to assault a compound that may not have contained OBL. So, there's one competing voice that's saying that "he may not be in there", and God Forbid that he consider the political ramifications, nationally and internationally, of a failed raid. Talk about propaganda. Besides, it's the Washington Post. It's no shock. It's like being shocked if FOX news said that he was a___ , who grew up in___ , and whose father was a___ , and mother a___ , and was not qualified to be president.

All of the unknowns, and all of the potential ramifications and fallout, make the decision to go ahead with ground forces, all the more ball-sy. How's that for propaganda.

Foot-ball analogy:

As far as GWB, He's the Buffalo Bills of presidents. He'd be the quarterback who talked boatloads of shit at the pre-game press conference guaranteeing a victory, two years in a row, spiked the ball after the first year's loss, declared a victory, and time expired on him the second time around, 15-14 in favor of the other team, but he still spikes the ball, again, as if he'd won the game. So, Obama gets drafted, comes in straight outta college, and leads the team to a superbowl victory. Then, he graciously invites Bush, the previous seasons' failed quarterback, to the victory party to acknowledge his previous contribution. Hey, everybody gets a trophy! Happy Happy Joy Joy!

In football, Obama would be called a phenom.

Only an envious, jealous-hearted, loser would dissect the victory in an effort to take credit away from, "the kid" instead of congratulating him for his performance. That's hardly the behavior of a team-mate. That's the behavior of the ESPN analyst who played 14 seasons and never won a ring, or the guy who played for the losing team. It's called poor sportmanship.

Ok, it's no secret that I am not a big fan of President Obama, but he is getting a raw deal on this one. No one overrules the President, and then gets nominated for Secretary of Defense. If Panetta had acted without the President's approval, he'd be looking for work, and possibly a lawyer.

The action and the timing were all up to the President. If he wants to think about an action like this, consider all the ramifications and then decide, great! I think he made what he considered to be the best decision at the appropriate time. Good job, Mr. President! Now, about the economy . . .
