Which bars/clubs did you go to back in the day?
Way back in the late 80s to early 90s I used to go to the West End in downtown Dallas. There were a few different clubs there. My favorite was called The Boiler Room. I also went to European Crossroads around Northwest Highway @ Webb Chapel. There was a club called Amnesia in there.
I probably new you LOL ON the air, am-sleazia, weds nights at mistral, Trax, anaconda etc. miss those days.
I haunted Iguana Mirage, Club A, Empire/Lizard Lounge (the church), Fish Dance, Video Bar, tons of raves and many others. I am Still a club kid at heart
"Way back..."
Damn, I'm old.
Dallas City Limits(where I met the SO, now The Lodge) On The Rocks, Smokin Daves Rock Room and pretty much any pool hall in between.
and to bring it up-to-date, which bars/clubs are good places today to have fun and/or delites (at least after leaving the club w/ someone)?
Anyone remember a place that was around northwest highway and Harry Hines that was in an old theater? It was a headbanger club with live music. It was also a bingo place for a while.
Spencer’s Palace Fort Worth and the Captain’s Den in Euless
Hilarious that “way back in the day” is the late 1980’s and early 1990’s!!
I used to go to Spanky's. A lot of freaks were there and freaky shit going on.
Cafe Dallas, Studebakers, Packards, Confetti. Saw well know groups at the Agora, before they were well known. Then came Tango, with the dancing frogs.
Sans Souci's when it use to be off Lemmon Avenue in Dallas.
The Red Jacket was my favorite!
Gotta admit I still go to Lizard Lounge often for The Fetish Ball (next week) and for concerts.
Lol berkleigh way to make me feel old. My daughter and her friends used to do the lizard lounge thing in their college days. They never mentioned a fetish ball though hum. They would be heading out for the night about the time my ex wife and I were getting ready for bed lol.
A place I would hang out some in the late 80's maybe early 90's was the d#%g den known as the stark club near the west end. Maybe not spelled right but it was a fun place to be even if you didn't partake in all the goodies. Kind of like going to the now closed fantasy ranch near euless. Just to see wtf was going on in a different world.
