What Do Gentlemen Look For In An Ad

HarleyRose's Avatar
Hey there, Ladies and Gents!

So I have a quick question for everyone - mostly guys, but ladies feel free to put input in as well.

What do you look for in an ad? What catches your eye or makes you decide thats the provider you want to see? Is it strictly their photos, or the way they present themselves and what they have to offer? If it really worth the effort for ladies to right a long ad introducing ourselves, do you even fully read them? Or is it best to keep it short, simple, sweet, and to the point? Do you care if the photos are "selfied" or do you prefer professional shots? What do you look for in a provider (average rate you're willing to pay, looks, personality, etc.)?

Ladies, what do you make sure to always have in your ad? Is it WORTH going through the extra time and effort to get professional photos or typing that extra long ad?
I find that I get a lot of views on my ad here in Orlando, but not a lot of actual contacts. Any feedback helps this newbie!

Taint ... and only taint. Bring on the taint.
My thoughts, and probably my thoughts alone: ads and showcases should be different, for ads - short, sweet and relevant. Include an embedded pic in the ad and tease me a little. Are you hosting incalls this week? Running specials? Travelling? Please put that it the ad. The ad should make me want to open your showcase.

A showcase should be more in depth. Tell me a little about you (that's your 'long intro') What's on your menu? How do i contact you? What are your screening requirements? Do you have a private incall? Are there things I need to know about you to properly set my expectations? Put that stuff in your showcase.

Pictures are a touchy thing to a lot of folks. To me, if you are taking pictures in sexy lingerie with makeup and hair impeccably done, you've set an expectation that when I see you, you're not going to be in sweatpants and no makeup... you've started the session with a letdown. I'm not saying that professional pictures will not help you, they will...but please include a picture or 2 that will let me know about what I should see when we meet.

Again, just my opinion - y'all have fun with it

Your showcase is pretty spot on. You have plenty of pics showcasing your beauty, you list a menu and rates, and you even talk a little about yourself and your interests (a definite turn-on). My only suggestion would be to state your preferred method of contact. There is nothing more frustrating than PMing a girl and not getting a response only to find out that she mainly schedules through text.

You're definitely on the right track. If I was in Florida, I would give you a call, no doubt. Keep up the good work chula (Spanish for gorgeous).

Some of you ladies do a great job with your ads. Many do OK, but most are just not good ads. I see comments from guys all the time to this effect. So what make a great ad?
There are many kinds of ads, but this discussion is focused on the Buy It Now type ad. You want to get the guy to buy now.

As a consumer, here are some critical elements we look for in an ad that gets us to buy now. Or not.

Fonts:
Keep it easy to read.Funky characters, pale colors, lots of emotes, are not good. All caps? Quit yelling. THIS IS NOT BACKPAGE. See, not so easy on the eyes is it?

Grammar, spelling, and punctuation:
Yes, it matters. Periods and paragraphs make it easy to understand. Hint- Use Word to compose your ad, then cut and paste it.

Location:
DFW is 13 counties and almost 10,000 square miles. Dallas, North Dallas, Uptown, Downtown, Ft Worth, Arlington, etc are NOT locations. 75 and 635 is a location. Guys want to know where you are so they can decide if you are within a reasonable driving distance. They get pissed when they get all worked up to see you and then find out you’re an hour away.

Rates:
Yes, you have them on your website, showcase, etc. Right? You don’t? Hmm. But who cares? Most guys will make a decision to find out more or not very quickly. Making them work to find out critical info will automatically drop you from consideration of many. Running a special? Tell us what it is. We don’t want to call you, see your website, read reviews, etc. Tell us the rate, how long it’s good for, and what it encompasses. Even if you’re not running a special, show your rates. The less we have to do, the better the chances you will get the appointment.

Pictures:
1-2 is just fine. Show your best feature; the money shot. Show me something to get my attention. Smart phone usage is the norm. All those photos take time to load and eat up data usage. If I want to see more, I will go to your showcase.

Activities:
WALDT. Make damn sure if you use terms, you know what they mean. If there are things in high demand you don’t do, tell us in the ad. Don’t do BBBJ? Say CBJ. That will turn off some guys but that’s OK.Why waste your time and ours making us find that out? You’re not going to get business from those guys anyway so why not tell us up front? If you are reluctant to list activates in an ad, OK, but be sure you have them, and more importantly, those you don't do somewhere easy to find. Like your showcase or website. Telling us to read your reviews is not the right thing to say. Guys lie in reviews. Shocking, I know

Length:
Keep it short. Less is more. Set the hook of why I want to see you. I don’t need your life history, just those one or two things that makes you special

More information:
Have a website? P411? Post the damn links. Yes, they are in your showcase. I am not looking at your showcase right now. Don’t make me work to find more info. If I need it to make up my mind, make it easy to find. Tell us the best way to contact you. How long to expect to wait for a response. Hint: your signature is a great place for this stuff

Maybe you think your ads are good. You get some responses, right? But how much are you missing? This is not a post telling you what to do. My comments and many of the responses to come are your customers telling you how to get our business. Take these suggestions into consideration or not. Many of us here have been buying these services for longer than some of you have been alive. Maybe we know what gets us to buy by now.J

For an ad on ECCIE:

When I search or re-search for a Hobby partner I am looking for information, to schedule a session. I'm not an impuls hobbyist . . .gotta plan the time-away and budget the resources.

I'd look for a picture that shows off your general body type. Naked or even porn style is not necessary for this pic . . . a "Boudoir" type of shot is ok. I like to see your face in this pic, but understand the reasons for not showing your face in an ad.

A notice of availability is a must; touring or times etc. Maybe a general in-call location.

A link to your website or Showcase on ECCIE. and/or a link to reviews will help.
Thank you dear for having the smarts to want to do better with your business.

Bottom line is, if your ads don't generate the money you want, your customer base is telling you something.

Very impressive you got that. Ads are only the hook. You still have to land the fish, but the right bait makes it a lot easier
Put your name, and for goodness sake, put contact info and if you prefer texts or calls. Some guys won't see you if you only do texts. That's why you put that in the ad - so your time and mine are not wasted.

And put if you only do incall or only outcall or both.

And also if you do doubles - I mean *real* doubles, where the ladies, umm, enjoy each other's company.
