I got hit by 18 wheeler back in July in one of my vehicles.

The driver was in the wrong , but the company stretch this out until today, and the insurance company doesn't want to pay for damages..

Just go get that man that stands on top of 18 wheelers and screams at you in his commercials ..... I think his name is Jim Adler, the "Texas hammer" .....

I don't know anyone but can only say to not get someone who takes a big percentage out of the settlement.

I actually called a lawyer today, and told them they can keep all the money.. I know sounds crazy

At this point it's about the principal, they were in the wrong, and they don't want to do what is right. Fix the damages.

These accident lawyers want you to be one foot in the grave, and one foot out or worse. Pretty much

I haven't heard back from the lawyer yet, but lady did say give him 24hrs

I was in the car with her when it happened. The driver acted like we weren't even in the turning lane. He didn't have his turn signal on to move over either. He just tried to hog over the lane.

Texas is a horrible state for damages, it has a shared responsibility clause.
So if a insurance company protest your claim, it ends up being a decision of responsibility.
Usually they will find it 60/40 or 70/30, making it all about salvaging your driving record, insurance, and large deductible.
Leaves you SOL, that’s why there are so many bashed up cars in Texas.

The ambulance chasers on tv make it seem so easy to collect a fat check if you’re in a wreck with a big rig truck. Based on what I’m hearing, I pray that I’m never in a accident with one. Unless it’s a Walmart truck(Google Tracy Morgan).

I was involved with a head on collision with a semi.
Living proof that seat belts work.
Was all caused by another semi coming into my lane, on a bridge, and forcing me into the guard rail because I didn't want his trailer wheels going over me. Spun 180 and right when I came to a stop, the other truck appeard and BAM!

Just from the attitude of the cop that showed up, I didn't do anything except sleep. Had a headache for the days.

You're correct you don't want to be in accident with one, lawyers office called being the bearer of bad news.. They're not going to take the case at this time. Basically is not that lucrative to them.

The accident sounded pretty bad.
It’s a sad reality that in order to justify the time and effort to prosecute a case...most lawyers assess these cases based on what damages are at stake. If you’re not injured then it’s a property damage claim—that YOUR insurance should pursue with their insurance company—that is, rather than paying for your repairs out of their pocket...they go to truck’s insurance and say, “ hey save us the trouble of taking this small case to trial and settle up since it’s your guy’s fault). Most of the time it’s easy—but, you have to have proof (like your witness/passenger’s statement)...or a police report...or iPhone pics of cop isn’t helpful etc.
