Road trip through Iowa

PaigeSavage's Avatar
I've been considering taking a road trip this summer across Iowa. I've been considering staying in some cities for fun along the way utilizing my unlisted small-cities rates. If someone were to playfully make her way across the state, I imagine these are the cities to stop in?

Iowa
• Cedar Rapids
• Davenport
• Des Moines (Jordan Creek right?)
• Council Bluffs (but stay in Omaha?)

Thank you in advance for your help!

Oh I meant to ask, for these cities, where would potential clients look for providers considering we cannot advertise here?
You could easily schedule a day before or after Cedar Rapids in Cedar Falls/Waterloo.It's 45 -60 miles from CR.

Melvin, mi amor, I'm not a short order cook lol. Would it really kill you to drive one hour to meet me and back?
Nice attitude. I'll pass!

I'll say this publicly... If you read my comment and didn't realize it was lighthearted, cheeky and genuinely curious, then yes... you should pass. People with a poor sense of humor need not apply.
No problem passing!!
PS - I am known for my sense of humor and intellect.

And sorry to say this - but, your comment never seemed lighthearted, cheeky or curious.
As Melvin mentioned, it had glimpses of "Attitude" !
Sorry if I have misunderstood, but this was how it got conveyed !

I purposefully used the words "mi amor" and placed a "lol" in a strategic place in the sentence structure to show that I was being playful.

This is why I sometimes dislike boards. Unfortunately, people read into the written word when we shouldn't. You couldn't see my body language when I wrote that post (which was casual, smiling, and laughing when I read it almost like when I'm with friends). You couldn't hear my tone when I wrote that post which was also casual.

Can someone please enlighten me as to how this came off as having an "attitude"? Open to feedback.

I caught the cheekiness, but I also follow her on Twitter and have learned her personality style. Her 'attitude' suggests she's playful with a great personality.

Come on Iowa, we want beautiful ladies to actually want to visit us and have a pleasant experience. This only happens if we show them a good time and prebook so a trip is worth their travel expenses and time. How else will I get to meet this gorgeous gal?

Thank you, Olivia. I appreciate the support. Also, thank you to those who have reached out indicating they didn't interpret my initial reply as malicious and to the fellas who have indicated my trip will be made "difficult" - I imagine the back channels are buzzing.

We are not perfect people and I think we can always step back, learn, apply those new facts, and evolve. That said, I reached out to the concerned party and I appreciate their candor. While we will not agree, I can still "see" their POV.

We know the saying about "assuming" things. I did not make my reply flippantly. I know meeting me will require taking time away from responsibilities. I'm not a full-time provider so for me to spend time with clients, I too have to take time away. Fortunately, I am lucky to be in another field and own a business that is stable and insulated from inflation and the major fluctuations of this industry. My mailing list has a vast number of folks from Iowa so I thought I'd take some unpaid time off to head that way. To take one response and claim that my "attitude sucks" and you can "only imagine" what my attitude is like in person is half-baked and a reach.

It's interesting, so often clients ask providers to not let their "hobby board posts" deter us from seeing them, even when they have said some things that cause a dramatically raised eyebrow. I digress.

We'll see what happens, Iowa. Fingers crossed I'm still feeling it come June.
