Teslas

I’ve been doing a lot of market research recently. and what I have found is Hertz is selling 1/3 of their Tesla fleet for way under value so in some cases you could buy a Tesla for $12,000 the average price I was able to see in our market is 24 to 25,000 for the car and 33 for the SUV. Would you buy one of these Teslas?

Probably not, even though I'm a proponent of EV's. I drive a nine-year old PHEV with 50,000 miles. These cars have between 40,000 and 80,000 miles. PHEV's, or Plug-in hybrids run like EV's for some miles, then automatically convert to a hybrid between charges. A good option while the charger infrastructure develops for longer trips. Also, when I do get an EV, I don't think I'll get a Tesla just yet. They did a good job with motor and battery technology, but are still behind the curve a bit with the design of the rest of the car when compared to the industry.
I like the idea of an EV but living in a city that you may have to evacuate or be without power for weeks I’ll pass for now.
If you have a generator and a charger to convert the power it can be easier. It helped me in Ida instead of waiting for line for fuel
So what did you do after your generator ran out of fuel? Wait in line?
Natural gas generator so I never ran out
