OBAMA: STUTTERING, NERVOUS AND PETULANT

Barack Obama was humiliated in front of fifty million people this evening. He was completely unable to defend his failed administration.

HURT: Obama the debater: Making Jimmy Carter look awesome

ANALYSIS/OPINION:
Party like it’s 1980!
Bewildered and lost without his teleprompter, President Obama flailed all around the debate stage last night. He was stuttering, nervous and petulant. It was like he had been called in front of the principal after goofing around for four years and blowing off all his homework.
Not since Jimmy Carter faced Ronald Reagan has the U.S. presidency been so embarrassingly represented in public. Actually, that’s an insult to Jimmy Carter.
The split screen was most devastating. Mitt Romney spoke forthrightly, with carefully studied facts and details at the ready. He looked right at the president and accused him of being miles out of his depth.
Mr. Obama? His eyes were glued to his lectern, looking guilty and angry and impatient with all the vagaries of Democracy. This debate was seriously chaffing him.
What exactly was Mr. Obama’s strategy here? Did he figure with so many people unemployed in this abomination of an economy he should go for the sympathy vote? Like voters could relate to a guy who is just scared pantsless that he is about to lose his job?
In the middle of the blood-letting segment about jobs, Mr. Romney said good-naturedly: “This is fun.”
Almost pleading, Mr. Obama reached out to the moderator for a lifeline: “You may want to move onto another topic.”
When an unexpected noise went off behind him, Mr. Obama wheeled around to look as if to ask, “Time to go?”
Hopefully.
Turns out, it was the first honest thing we have heard from Mr. Obama’s campaign: The president really was absolutely terrible on the debate stage.
Maybe the next debate will be on something other than the economy that won’t be so bad for Mr. Obama. Perhaps they could hold a debate on street organizing.
Who knew anyone on the planet could make Mitt Romney look easy, relaxed, smooth and human?
But Mr. Romney was absolutely on fire Wednesday night. He had command of countless specifics from voters and business owners from all across country.

Obama didn't do well, and Romney did. It wasn't as bad as y'all make it out to be, but it wasn't a good night for the incumbent. Obama tired to play it too safe. It will be interesting to see if the debate moves the polls much. My guess is no, but that's not because of the debate performance. Obama wasn't good. It's just a base election and most opinions are already firmly formed, so there's not much room for movement and what room there is for it is among low information voters. They decide very late.
Obama punches below his weight.

Obama was--for the most part--laid back, trying to play defense, trying to come across as more of the "people's candidate". And in slowing down the tempo (but consistently running over the time) he did seem to lose a thought along the way at times.

Just as GWB did.

Again, disagree if you wish. Argue agaist it even better. But what the hell is your issue with my post? Did you not see a resemblance in those aspects? It seemed pretty obvious in the crowd I was with, Obama and Romney supporters alike.

Romney, overcoached,arrogant, disconnected and flatulant.

When people analyze what was said to ight -- and they will -- it will reveal that Romneys best blows didn't include any dick.

He was aggressive. But also full of shit. The 3% undecided have weeks to figure out who knows enough to fix their rotten, self important lives

Romney and Goebbels won't be able to inire Americans...

Forrest Gump could have made a better showing tonight than Mr. Obama.

Somehow I doubt GWB was Obama's speach coach last night. I think some of you are over sensitized.

Obama lost last night, but it wasn't to an idiot.
Not it wasn't to an idiot it was to an arrogant jackass, that we will have you so poor broke and hungry that you won't know how to get out of it. I really wish people would listen to what is said and determine that this shit was fucked up before he got in office. If i was the president i would walk away and let him fuck everything up. He is set for the rest of his life just like GWB who between him and his dad started all of this shit. CORPORATE GREED!!!!
