Do they have ladies in the hotel?
If so how much is the hotel fee?

Unless things have changed recently, there is no chica charge. They do take their cedula at the front.

And they recently added a Sports Bar there which has made it a viable place to pick up chicas. The girl I just reviewed on here recently (Luna) has been hanging out there lately.

Yes, there are ladies there. No chica fee. Since the 1st they have new owners and are doing some remodeling and upgrades. The new Italian restaurant will be open June 1st. Also, they will be putting in a new wi-fi service and new safety deposit boxes. So look for good things to be happening at the Mona Lisa. Also, there will be a new name and new website. Stay tuned for more updates.

Keep me updated please. I'm deciding on going back there or the Philippines soon.

I am thinking about a trip to CR at the end of this month. I would opt for PH in a moment if it were not so far and so much jetlag. It takes several days just to adjust to the time change.
As far as lodging, the Amistad is a no brainer for me. I just love the place and it is literally a 3 minute walk from the Sportmans Lodge.

The Tommy's restaurant is being redesigned and is suppose to open on the 1st of June. All the old lobby furniture is gone, so is the poker room, casino and sports bar. A total remodel downstairs. A new and much improved wi-fi system is going in and new safety deposit boxes. The bar and hotel remain open and so does their $39.95 a night rate.

Thanks the info OLD. 39.95 a night is a bargain but how are the rooms at that price?
I believe the $39.95 rate ended April 30th. It has been extended a few times but I've found nothing about an extension in May. Construction in the common areas is wrapping up. It is expected to be completed by June 1st. Ideally, they would extend the rate one additional month. But the reception staff offered no dates or clue about what was going on. I wouldn't book a room there until construction wraps up or the discount returns.

The poker room & restaurant are closed at the moment.
