what I wanna know what bit me! any bug experts here of any help?

The bite...
when i reached for the door handle on my way out, the bug was hiding on the door handle. It bit my right hand between the thumb and first finger digit (the slight web part of the hand). the pain was indescribable. on the scale of 1 - 10, it was 13! It was painful, I let out aloud "ow"!
the aftermath of the bite..
1 minute of the bite, I had red dot on my hand. so took anti-histamine as a precaution and washed the wound and put some hydrogen peroxide on it.
15 minutes of the bite, a white circle appears around the red dot.
25 minutes of the bite, a red circle appears around the white circle.
35 minutes of the bite, the white circle disappears and is now part of the red circle.
50 minutes of the bite, the red circle starts to shrink and disappear
60 minutes of the bite, the red circle disappears, the red dot remains.
only the slight numbness and slight pain remains for the rest of the day.
what was the suspect??? The spider, the wasp, or the horse fly.
