The Langham Melbourne Hotel.

Not only a very nice hotel, but a fantastic location. Ideal base for walking around Melbourne. It's right at the foot bridge that crosses the Yarra River to the Flinders Station.

You don't have to stay at this hotel to experience the historical charm of it: it was at the Menger in San Antonio where Teddy Roosevelt enlisted his Rough Riders that eventually captured San Juan Hill. The bar on which he stood to enlist them is still in the hotel. It's been a while since I've stayed there, and has been renovated since then. Don't know what the rooms, etc., are like now. http://mengerhotel.com/. Originally Posted by charlestudor2005

My favorite beach stay was at Tides Riviera Maya. In Atlanta the St Regis is by far my favorite hotel.

Crillion and the Plaza Athenee in Paris. Hard to pick between the two. Just depends on my mood on any given occasion.

Four Seasons Central Park South, NYC. OK, yeah, it's just a Four Seasons. But I love the location. I like the new Mandarin Oriental there, too.

San Francisco. Mandarin Oriental, bridge suites. Great views. Good service, too.

Bellagio, Las Vegas. Nice hotel, my favorite poker room in the world.

Windsor Court Hotel, New Orleans.

21C Museum Hotel, Louisville, Kentucky.

Hotel de Rome, Berlin

Le Palais Hotel, Prague
