Providers - would you please . . .

. . . at least give some consideration to my thoughts below?

First of all, I'm not trying to tell you how to run your business in any way, shape, or form. If you didn't know what you were doing, you wouldn't last long, so you don't need this dirty old man to give you direction.

I confess that, even though I'm usually quite comfortable with technology, I'm not 100% sure how this all works, so I may be completely out of line. Sorry. Don't mean to be and don't mean to be critical.

Ok - preface over. I frequently have a problem with the pictures that are posted on some providers sites. Please let me explain.

I'm completely ok with hiding/blurring your face for discretionary reasons. I know that not everyone agrees, but that's not the point of the thread. However, far too frequently, the pictures are not in focus from the neck down either. To me, it doesn't help me at all to see blurred images, to the point that it seems counter-productive for them to be posted at all because they don't really provide me with any encouragement to pursue a session with that lady.

I undertsand that not everyone has the option of hiring a professional photographer, but even with an inexpensive digital camera, you have a decent shot at getting some clear pictures.

The other thing, and actually the main reason I brought this up, is related to the size of the pictures. It's fairly common to see a page with several pictures (or folders) on it and a note saying something like "click to enlarge." Great! That's exactly what I want to do. But what I find is that the so called "enlarged" image is rarely any bigger and it's not at all unusual for the image to be smaller than the original.

Let me be clear here. I don't need to click on an image and be presented with an image that will take up the entire monitor (but how cool would that be), but something large enough that I can really get a feel for what the lady looks like.

Having said all that, I know that a lot of the images I'm referring to are from ladies that post on BP and that they do not have a showcase on ECCIE, but even here there are some.

I don't know this for a fact, but my guess is that most of you pay someone to take your pictures and for someone (maybe the same person) to post your pics on the web. Since I don't really know how it works to set things up for a picture to be larger when clicked on, all I can do is respectfully ask that you check with that person and see if she/he can do anything about it. For those of you ladies that do your own sites, would you consider making that adjustment?

As I said, I don't know what it takes to make this happen, nor do I have a feel for whether or not it is an expensive task to undertake.

Ladies, I don't mean to be critical or disrespectful at all. It's just one of the things I take into consideration when making a decision on who I call.

If you read through all this, thanks. Keep doing what you do.
Sometimes those free escort sites that are supposed to look like a provider's website, only allow for a certain amount of pictures, and it depends on the size of the pics you want to use. If you want the free site to make your pics larger or closer to their actual size, it takes up more space and limits the amount of pictures you can show. But if you choose to use the option that makes your pics smaller in size, the provider can post more pictures. Make sense? A lot of ladies don't actually invest a lot of money into their advertising/photos and use as much free stuff as they can, and it limits their abilities in the long run. It takes money to make money is one of my favorite sayings, and it starts with decent photos....

I am not one of the ladies, but I might have some pertinent info.

I do not have great computer skills, but I have a business website that I built with Frontpage 2000. Using a thumbnail photo to take you to a different photo is easy, even for me. Can I remember and tell you how to do it? No. But about ten minutes in my Frontpage For Dummies book and I can do it again.

When you click the photo and it brings up another size, either larger or smaller, I believe that it was the same thumbnail process. It is the builders choice to link to any photo desired, larger, smaller, or the same.

I suspect that Dannie is correct about the use of small pics to have more pics.

My opinion as a consumer: Give me a few pics I can actually see, rather than a page full of postage stamps. I have noticed that when there are many photos they tend to be rather repetitive.

Thanks for your insight Dannie, and thanks Torito for your comments. I didn't have the presence of mind to state it in my original query, but as you said, I'd much rather have fewer pictures that I can see clearly than a ton of mini-pics. I also agree that, in many instances, when there are a lot of photos, it's a lot of the same stuff repeated.

The providers could create a photobucket or another photo hosting site account and then just like they list review links, they could list photo links.
