Encounters: requires verification?

Question for you experienced folks out here… is it legit if the person is requiring you to provide verification prior to meeting up or is that likely a trap? I feel the same when they ask for an up front deposit as well. Seems sketchy to me, on one hand I understand but on the other some posts go as far as to say “send me a pic of your drivers license next to your face”. Thanks for the info.
I'm never giving up those details. Plenty of easier ways to get verified

There's a very well established provider in DSM, and I'm aware she's legit, but she wants my drivers license if we are to meet. Never happening. There's far too many options out there for that nonsense.

Deposits, even worse. There's too many "thinking with the wrong head" stories on why that's a bad idea.

If they want names of prior providers, sure, if those prior providers are ok. Not all want to be a reference. That's reasonable and expected. If you don't have any, chat and see what you can do, but never a deposit or your personal info.
