“We’re a faith-based organization; we are apolitical because the majority of our funding is from private donations,” Antal said in a phone interview Monday afternoon. “It’s strictly in our bylaws not to do it. They showed up there, and they did not have permission. They got one of the volunteers to open up the doors.”
He added: “The photo-op they did wasn’t even accurate. He did nothing. He just came in here to get his picture taken at the dining hall.”
Ryan had stopped by the soup kitchen for about 15 minutes on his way to the airport after his Saturday morning town hall in Youngstown. By the time he arrived, the food had already been served, the patrons had left, and the hall had been cleaned.
Upon entering the soup kitchen, Ryan, his wife and three young children greeted and thanked several volunteers, then donned white aprons and offered to clean some dishes. Photographers snapped photos and TV cameras shot footage of Ryan and his family washing pots and pans that did not appear to be dirty.

Ryan was a very poor choice. And this was a stupid decision on the part of the campaign.

Ryan reminds of Eddie Munster, I don't know why, but I don't want him to be heartbeat away from the Presidency. But then again, It's really scary to have Joe Biden that close.

What a choice we have in November! God help us!

That's what happens when candidates try to run their own campaign.

Dumb stuff that back fires.

Isn't this standard boiler plate for politics? Did Obama really relax and enjoy a beer while in Iowa or was he there to get his picture taken. Did Obama really try to Greco-Roman wrestle a eatery owner while in Florida or was it a photo op? Does Obama really care about the American Idol feud or did he just want to insert himself?

I might actually care if you show me Obama pretending to be a doctor operating on a patient or a president pretending to run the country.

Not so fast guys ... "the rest of the story!"

"Ryan did wash dirty dishes during soup kitchen visit"
"By NBC's Alex Moe and Betsy Cline
LYNCHBURG, VA -- Amid questions and criticisms related to Paul Ryan’s visit this weekend to an Ohio soup kitchen, the charity’s president said the Republican vice presidential candidate did, in fact, scrub dirty dishes though his visit wasn’t officially sanctioned."

Apparently the initial reports of "clean dishes" was wrong. He did clean DIRTY dishes. Personally, I withdraw my previous comments as they relate to this incident.

RADFORD, VA -- A Radford small business owner said "no" to a visit from Vice-President Joe Biden for lunch.

Crumb & Get It owner Chris McMurray, told the advance team for the Vice-President that he was not welcome, essentially because McMurray thinks the Biden-Obama team does not support small businesses.

McMurray believed Biden wanted a photo-op with a small business, and doesn't share the same views as the Vice-President and President Obama.
