Use you email on record at ECCIE to request and include two new handle choices. It is alway a good idea to seach the members list to see if the handle is available. Link for that page http://www.eccie.net/memberlist.php search box on the right side.

e-mailed last week. Then sent a follow-up after two days. Have yet to hear back from someone. Are the mods really busy, or did my request fall through?

Is it easier to just delete my account and create a new one?

Summer time, graduations, vacations, work and real life happening. No you can not delete your own account and registering more than one account not advised. Part of the forum guideline #28 Additionally, should you wish to return to the board under a different username at a later date, this must be done only after first making contact with staff and receiving staff blessing. (in some cases, a 90-day grace period will be assessed before issuing a new account) At that point, we will be be happy to assist you with the transition.

Cool. thanks, Namssa. I'll just wait for someone to get back to me and, until then, continue to use this silly handle.

Resend the email and send me a pm when you do, I think the activation department handle is thowing everyone off and the email may have been deleted as spam in the junk mail.
I will watch for it so that it gets through and get it done.
