Rosemont or Elk Grove?

Do people actually have a preference? I thought anywhere near O'Hare was nice. I'm visiting this next week and need to know where people prefer.

it's closer to the blue line and most of the hotels in the area have shuttles from O'Hare

If you're staying around 3 days or more I say split your time.
