Asian Goddess needs some recommendations

Hello everyone, I am planning to visit Iowa before end of next month and I never been there. Can you please recommend a city, hotel and restaurants that is good to visits? I will appreciate the help. Thank you.

Cedar Rapids should definitely be on your list. You would be welcomed with open arms. So to speak.

Kirkwood is a nice hotel, but has a camera problem. Restaurants? Not too much. The Edison is newer, and pretty good. Zeppelin's is solid, but loud. Sushi House isn't bad considering the distance from an ocean. Some good diners, no decent Mexican or Italian. Too many chains.
