last weekend i had an outcall to the STAFF EDIT hotel. it sits dead in the middle of bourbon, the one with the blue awning. while ill admit, its a gorgeous hotel they defiantly arent provider friendly! my call came thru around 11 or 12midnite on sat. i dressed appropriately an set out. i never have problems with the hotels downtown. i know the layout of most of them and even when i dont, its not that had to find an elevator. anyway, pops at the door was on guard like he was working the front door of the Inauguration dinner! he asked me if i was a guest and then asked for my id which i happily furnished. he then called his boss using a bunch of made up security gaurd codes "hey arrrrr yea ummmm, i gotta 173 at entrance 208. the uhhh, perp's in turquoise an looks like shes carryin a 3oh9er..." lol but wtf ev! so, i went next door for a drink and called my date. he was such a sweetie. he came down and met me at the little corner bar and escorted me back into he hotel where we were thwarted once again by the a-hole a the front door! he asked my date if he was a guest, which he proved he was, and then the guard points to two young ladies who happened to be part of a bachelorette party (gorgeous, blonde hair blue eyed type) and says "hey, if im not lettin THEM in, youre not goin anywhere sweetie". wow! but, really? anyways, my date and i parted ways outside. we texted for a while and he promised me he'd never stay there again. i promised i'd warn others so....
WOWWWW!! I am so sorry you got treated with such disrespect!! That is awful, old man acts like he makes more than minimum wage.. it is not that serious!

Sorry you both had to miss out babe.
That's odd. When you say you dressed appropriately, what were you wearing? Can they really deny a guest from bringing a guest in? Thanks for the heads up. I am just shaking my head at the nerve of that guy.

I do not think it was personal. I feel positive the old man was given instructions from above. While he makes minimum wages, his job is more than likely important to him. When his bosses tell him to act that way, he does it for job security.

Right now in the NOLA area the hotels are getting a little too secure IMHO. With the incident in Kenner, the incidents in Metairie, I think the hotel just is making too sure that some lady is not harmed in their hotel, thats all. It will calm down in time as the perp appears to have passed away as well. Just a case of over security, welcome to post 9/11 America, do you feel safer?

But to not let in a lady I am escorting when I am the guest, no f..ing way. I would have called management if I were your date cuz you were coming in or I was gettign a refund, plain and simple.
How can a hotel not let a guest allow his company up. Im guessing he didn't even try for plan B.

I mean really????

Did you have a knife in your hand or something. ( I doubt it). :-).

Yes, I think someone mention this, the hospitality in hotels have gone down hill.

Two of my buddies once escorted two young "ladies" into the lobby area of their hotel, and they walked them to the elevators. They entered the elevator, and hit the button for their floor. Just before the doors closed, two security guards reached in and grabbed the "ladies" by their arms and pulled them off the elevator. The doors closed, and my two horny buddies -startled and disappointed - were left staring at each other in disbelief. This happened in a foreign city and not N.O.

Folks, if you really believe you have rights left, think again. About the only thing you can do is vote at the polls and vote with your wallet.

Dress down

yes even though it is New Orleans & there is not much "shock factor" here...best bet is to "dress down" {as heidi says}

I usually wear a casual sundresss and low heels/jeans and a casual blouse with boots/or a pair of walking shorts with dressy flip flops

I also carry a small suitcase type bag or dufflebag so it looks like i am either visiting my "boyfriend" staying at the hotel or else staying there

I made the mistake of wearing a tight short clingy skirt/low cut top with pushup bra and heels to the Sheraton on outcall last week...it was the guys request....I looked like a "ho"...lol

So if a guy wants you to wear sexy slutty clothes, take them in your carry bag and change for him in bathroom

Best not to attract unwanted attention.....stay safe everyone!!

i had on a long turquoise dress that literally touches my ankles with a low pair of white espadrille sandals, a small chain and bracelet and i kept my makeup light because it was still hot outside to say it was so late at night.
