Gym Equipment Repair

I have a neat little universal gym set at home made by Weider - it's an E2000. I really enjoy it, but I had a problem with a piece of the motor and a brace break off and being a mechanical klutz myself I've been unsuccessful trying to fix it myself. I've tried the Weider website but haven't found anything that would help me. I've looked through the Yellow Pages and tried a couple of people listed under Gym Equipment Repair and they've been total flakes (as in not showing up to take a look at it).

So does anybody have any suggestions or have a reliable contact that might be able to help out? I detest joing gyms and would hate to have to trash this thing and spend more $$$ getting another. Thanks in advance!
