Trump goes there first. Brings trucks with supplies, writes a 25 million dollar check, and starts a go fund me account. Then gets Musk on the phone to supply Starlink satellites to the affected areas. Who’s the real CIC?

$750 isn't all that's available. That's the immediate assistance
https://www.fema.gov/node/fema-will-...their-recovery

Congress hasn't been setting enough aside for disaster relief
https://www.newsweek.com/jared-mosko...months-1961682

FEMA has approved more than $750 million in loans for Beryl, alone. While also helping over 8,800 people with temporary lodging.

The cost of Helene is estimated to be upwards of $34 billion. About $7 billion will likely come from private insurers who continue to get crushed by disasters. FEMA has $20 billion, at least, available in the disaster relief fund today.

The money your article gripes over is specifically allocated for the Shelter and Services program. Doesn't come out of the disaster relief budget.

The money was appropriated to help us recover from NATURAL disasters, not MAN-MADE ones like the immigration fiasco self-inflicted on us by Biden/Harris.

They also think that all of the National Guard is deployed to the middle east- all 430k of them LOL.

It's had to believe that Emergency Management- aka the gubbrment, is out of money- They can do what we always do. Print some more. Funding gets replenished after disasters and while it might not be budgeted, it's certainly available and will continue to be for disasters.

Were federal funds diverted from other FEMA programs to pay for migrant shelters and services, and if so was this done legally?

I'm sure you weren't timid about answering similar questions when Trump was in office trying to scrape together enough federal funds to build the border wall.

Here it is, straight from the horse's mouth:

“We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting,” Mayorkas said. “FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season.”

What the heck, maybe this time the Dims can REALLY fire up inflation - so it soars even higher than the 9.1% (annual CPI) peak they engineered in 2022.

Try to stay on topic!
