Short, interesting video summarizing the history of the United States' relationship with Iran.

I recommend All the Shah's Men by Stephen Kinzer. It's a bit of an eye opener. Basically the dirty dealing was by the Anglo Persian Oil Company which is now - surprise - BP and the British government. We stupidly propped up the last coup and let the Shah in the country for treatment. Carter was so stupid.I have recommended Kinzer's book often (was this where you learned about it?). I also recommend Dr. Donald N. Wilber's book, Regime Change in Iran: Overthrow of Premier Mossadeq November 1952 – August 1953. Nottingham: Spokesman. 2006. Wilber offers a different and yet very relevant POV that Kinzer too readily dismisses, thus Wilber tempers some of Kinzer's more myopic points.
