From what I read, the article said "Sexually Explicit Content" according to their policies. Not sure what their policies are though.

This is horrible for SW. I have been trying to limit my porn consumption to OF because it's more ethical. I want the money to go to the women.

There's an entire spectrum of sex work, and a lot of SW prefer not to be involved in FSSW. There should be legal outlets for every sort of consensual sex work. This is a net negative. Of course, if you only care about hobby options, this is probably going to be beneficial for you.

A lot of hookers use OF as another advertising platform. They may have to tone it down a little.

Remains to be seen what this really means the details are more widely known. One "insider" (I do say that loosely) says that it merely bans extreme stuff (whatever that is) and free content which most don't do anyway. OnlyFans' main motivation is they want to get bigger and the porn image has scared away investors. There will be other platforms that care less about image absorb whatever desertions there are from OnlyFans and they will grow exponentially.

I think it has something to do with MasterCard implementing new rules around sites with adult content and verifying every user and every post to cut down on illegal stuff being posted. Obviously that would be time consuming and costly for OF, so they decided to scratch the whole thing rather than verify each post.
Not sure how much of that is true, but I personally don't do OF because I'm not paying to watch a girl show her naughty bits. There are some temptations since some are only a few dollars a month, but a few dollars times X adds up eventually.

Personally, I don't see the appeal in a OF subscription. My person taste in content is varied and changes. Besides, making a commitment to a monthly subscription is to much like a relationship and I'm not into paying for that.

I think the big take away some of the OF content creators should take away from this is to diversify. The platform is not owned by them and they are ultimately at the mercy of what the platform does. Don't put everything into one thing but use other resources available.

They will just move the same shit to a different platform.

I'm guessing the definition of porn might be variable.
A LOT of girls are just posting nudes to onlyfans. That might still be allowed, and is a lot of the content on onlyfans. So, if it's used as a hooker jumping off point or a bait and switch, not much will change.
