California is pretty much a one party state.

how did the republican party in California collapse like that?

in some races, a 3rd party independents beats GOP with a 2nd place finish.

some are blaming the jungle primary, but that's not the reason for the state the GOP is in.

Dems rigged the district commission (they draw political district lines) by stacking allies on the commission and the GOP did nothing to counter it. they got favorable district lines.

I guess it sucks to be GOP in California.
