What restaurants have the best home style breakfast food in Kansas City?
Same with home style dinner.. Any good spots?
I love home cookin' but I don't really like to cook myself lol

breakfast = the classic cookie.
dinner, i'm not sure. cracker barrel used to be good, but i don't know if it still is.

Breakfast - The Corner Cafe downtown

Dinner - Cracker Barrel is still good for home-style type food, or Bob Evans.

Red Dragon House at 8th and Broadway...best Chinese food around.

You are right, Chinese is GROSS if you dont go to the right place. All the places around here suck but hopefully this place he mentioned will be better!
I know panda express is basically fast food chinese, but they USED to be the best. Then they changed their chicken and their rice is more dry now.. just isnt the same as it was about 5 years ago.
Same with KFC.. they used to be awesome.. now they SUCK

Definitely the Corner Cafe for home style food, breakfast or dinner. It's in Riverside actually. If there's one downtown that would be even better.

Oh yeah, I've been there (in Riverside). That place is good. Haven't had breakfast there. Classic Cookie is awesome for breakfast, but it's really popular, so I always get there when they open (7am). It's in Waldo.

I second the Corner Cafe recommendation. Not many agree with me but I've never had a bad meal at Cracker Barrel - their chicken fried steak is great.

Chinese food is harder - and yes, the vast majority of Chinese/Asian food in this city is shit. I do LOVE The Blue Koi in Westport for their pot sticker dumplings. Malay Cafe in the Northland makes the best Malaysian Food I've had outside of Malayasia.

Destiny .. Legends of Asia in Blue Springs is good and its on south 7 hwy...

Breakfast try the Big Biscuit in Independence on 40 Hiway ,for Chinese try Bo Lings. they are on the Plaza,City market,Zona Rosa and Overland Park

Try Jerry!'s for any meal. Located at 103rd & State Line in KC Mo. It's west of Jasper's. Great value.
