1st off yea so I have an old phone, but I still like it ok.
In the event that someone blocks your #.
You send a txt will a message come back that your # is blocked or does it just send and you never know that your blocked?
Or if you call does the phone just ring and ring with no message that it is blocked?

They do not get any notification of a call you go straight to VM.
You will get VM and can leave message.
Text do not go thru at all.
To know for sure download a free text app with a new # and find out for yourself.
If you call on your # and go straight to VM, try the app # and if it continues to ring you are blocked on your #.
TextPlus is a good one, you can keep getting new #’s, it gives you one change.
Then you can delete app re download and get another 2 #’s , infinitely.
You will get VM and can leave message.

If you call and it goes directly to VM, then either you are blocked, do not disturb is on, or the battery has died.
Trying from a new # tells you which one.
If it keeps ringing you are blocked, but do not disturb might be on and it will go to VM.
Do not disturb rings once on your end, not on their end, then VM.
If you text on an iPhone it will either say Delivered under text, or you are blocked and it doesn’t.
And there is absolutely no way to block the VM.
You either have that service or you don’t, no middle ground.

some services just hang the call up instead of sending to voicemail. If I block someone I don't want a voicemail or a text.

Android based in blocked numbers you can pull up the blocked text msg, s when you block a number it sends the msg to another file and does not directly alert you when the msg comes .
I used blackberrys for years and still have 5 of them in the drawer ,I always liked the full qwerty keyboard plus the Bberry server security that I cracked drunk asleep and up side down shaving with a crayon at a blind fox hunt playing tuba etc etc .
Just remember when you positively absolutley have to no doubt guarantee you have no privacy choose android and google ,throw in face book and ebay and holy shit I have left more of a legacy than leaders of countries and great men or women from a little as 30 years ago ,
And to think my high school guidance counselor said I would never be memorable at a higher level ,Ha! I used my phone on a hill before , showed him !!!
