In One Year…
We know you’re probably more focused on the primaries going on right now, but one year from today, on the steps of the Capitol, we will inaugurate a president for the next four years.
Don’t let the primary sideshow distract you from what this race will look like in a few months. We all saw what happened in Iowa. Donald Trump is still almost assured to win the GOP nomination. He – not any other GOP candidate – could be sworn in a year from today. It’s him or Joe Biden.
We need to decide what kind of president we want to inaugurate in 2025.
Do we want to inaugurate the guy who saved us from a recession, or the man who wants to have one before election day for his poll numbers?
Do we want to inaugurate the man who created more jobs than any president in U.S. history, or the man who lost 2.9 million jobs?
Do we want to inaugurate the man who calls for unity, or the man who incited an insurrection?
Do we want to inaugurate the man who promises hope, or the man who promises revenge?
On January 20, 2025, let’s swear in a president, not a dictator.

Weaker
Last night went about how we expected. Trump jumped out to an early lead over Nikki Haley, and most major news networks called the primary with less than 20% of precincts reporting. It’s another victory for Trump, but the victory came in a mildly interesting fashion.
Haley ended up with a little over 43% of the vote when everything finished up. It’s obviously not enough to take the state, but it’s definitely enough to hurt Trump’s ego. We know this because he stayed up all night “truthing” out messages (in all caps and with typos of course) complaining about everything other than the truth: he’s weaker than people realize and he knows it.
In case you missed it, we compiled some of the reactions from NH voters leaving the polls. Registered Republicans who had voted for Nikki Haley. Why did they vote for Haley? Because they know that Trump is wrong for America. He’s political poison.
These are the voters Trump should be terrified of. People like the 138,000 who voted for Haley out of fear. Out of desperation. Out of exhaustion.
Instead of these voters just staying home in November, we need them to get out to the polls. We need their votes to ensure a win for democracy. Help us motivate these voters and show them that Trump is weak, as weak as he’s been, and with your help, we can make sure he loses – and loses badly – in November.

We (almost) can’t believe it. After dozens of failed businesses, a destructive presidency, federal indictments, and now a campaign structured around phantom election fraud from three years ago, people are starting to realize it. Trump is not well.
At The Lincoln Project, we’ve known this since the start. Donnie has never been well. But we’ll say this, he’s definitely getting worse. Lately, he’s been getting Nikki Haley mixed up with Nancy Pelosi, struggling to walk, mixing up foreign leaders, and even confusing Biden with Obama.
Can you blame the guy? He kind of has a lot going on… First off, he’s trying to stay out of jail. The Donald is currently facing 91 criminal charges, and it’s not easy to create a defense when you have a lawyer quitting every other week.
Second, he has to worry about his “businesses.” We know the guy isn’t really a billionaire, but he does have a lot of second-rate hotels to run, and a lot of them are in danger. Heck, he may even lose his permit to operate in Manhattan. Don Jr. may be a little worried about his allowance drying up…
Third, he’s in an all out battle for his pride: the 2024 presidential election. Trump’s biggest fear is being called a loser, and this fear has a great chance of being realized come November. He already lost in 2020. Can his ego take another national failure? We’re thinking no.
It’s these factors and more that are causing Trump’s mental health to taper off. Like we said before, this is a lot for one man to handle, but why would we want somebody who can’t handle his own life to govern (or dictate) the lives of 332 million Americans?
He’s clearly distracted. He’s clearly losing it. He’s clearly doing this for the wrong reasons. Don’t hand him this election.

PROMISES
Another ultimately meaningless MAGA primary – but guess what? Another powerful ad. We figure that the best time to really crank these out (other than the weeks leading up to the election) is when voters in swing states are thinking about their choices. We start getting them to question if all is well inside that orange-tinted brain of Trump’s. And we know these questions stick with voters. When push comes to shove in November, that question doesn’t go away.
Now, barring a miracle, we all know how New Hampshire is going to go. But regardless, NH voters will go into the voting booth asking a few more questions. And that has long term effects.
In 2016, Donald Trump ran with no agenda and won. In 2020, after doing nothing in office other than running the country into the ground, Trump almost won again. In 2024, Trump is running with an agenda. He’s telling you what he’s going to do.
This agenda isn’t traditional, in fact, it’s beyond radical. It would be unlike anything America has ever seen before. We’re talking about a nationwide abortion ban, the weaponizing of government agencies for retribution, racially motivated travel bans, and it doesn’t stop there. We’re talking about a dictatorship. A dictatorship under Donald Trump.Trump has had four years to plan for this. January 6th was just a preview of what’s to come. If Donald Trump is re-elected in November, he will keep his promises.
