Noel Neill, the first actress to portray “Superman” heroine Lois Lane onscreen, died Sunday at her home in Tucson, according to the Associated Press. She was 95.

Phyllis Coates played Lois Lane in the first season, with Noel Neill stepping into the role in the second season (1953).

Noel Neill was Lois Lane in the 1948 theatrical serial, but wasn't in the original cast of the TV series.

She was kinda cute in her youth, just didn't age well.

And that bad hair didn't help.

Yup in her day she didn't look bad.

Yes, younguns, before there was that ancient device called the TV there was an even earlier 'screen', the 'big screen', aka movies, cinema, etc. Noel Neill portrayed Lois Lane in Kirk Alyn's Superman in 1948 and 1950.
