Depends. If your pads are worn and merely need to be replaced, anyone can do it quickly and inexpensively, including these "mobile mechanics" who will come to you and to the work in your driveway or curbside. $50 per wheel?
If however your pads were worn x,000 miles ago and you kept driving, then you may have scored or warped your brake "rotors" which is bigger and more expensive job and if the car has ABS brakes, it could be more finicky - -and in that case choose a good brake shop. $350 per wheel?
Though it does not directly answer your question, sorry the lesson here is: replace your brake shoes BEFORE they need to be replaced and it ends up being the way cheaper option in the short, medium and long-haul.
Good luck with that. Try mobile mechanic first, like these
