Local search

Is there a way to search the provider database by geo-location. For example, all the providers near Plano?
Was my question that stupid that it doesn't deserve a reply?

I see in the search for provider tab I can search for providers in the Dallas area. I'm trying to narrow down my search for providers near where I live and work.
Tapper,

Believe it or not, some of us have real lives & jobs. We are not able to provide you answers at the drop of a hat, and if it doens't effect me getting laid, well, the priority is pretty low usually. And when you get a little demanding, well, it gets lower. And the mods are usually busy at the beginning and end of the month spending those big checks ECCIE sends them for their services.

One thing I have found, if a lady does not have a showcase, she cannot be searched under the provider search tab. So, that doesn't help you much.

Couple of things to try:

1. Go to the Dallas Provider Ad forum, open it up, go to the tab for search this forum, and do a search on Plano. That might give you some working results, however, some ladies tend to plug a lot of stuff in their ads to allow them to pop up on a search, so you might be disappointed.

2. Do the same search on the Independent review forum, or any of the review forums, for that matter. You can do the same for the ISO forum, but that may end up being a bit overwhelming.

3. Go back to the home screen, and on the left side, there is a "Member List" selection. Click it, then on the right, top of the list, there is a search tab. Click on the down arrow, and then click advanced search.

Under the advanced search, go down to location, put Plano, and then also select females (assuming you just want female providers) and hit search.

Now, I hope I have done enough homework for you that you don't feel like we are ignoring you any longer.

Thanks for the tips TC. If you check out the date of my first post, I waited almost two weeks before reposting.
Tapper,

I realized that, or my reply would have been harsher.

Now, armed with this information, I do hope you plan to share your adventures with your fellow hobbyist here and expand our knowledge base.

I feel your pain, Tapper, and while tigercat's suggestions are the best for how this forum is set up, it still is difficult to locate providers in specific parts of town.

For example, say I want to see someone located near Downtown Dallas along the Stemmons corridor. I can type "Stemmons", and pick up a few old ads. "Market Center" or "Downtown" yield different results.

I have long advocated that the location information in Provider Showcases be expanded from the generic "Dallas" and "Fort Worth" to allow for more specificity: "Dallas - Downtown", "Dallas - Uptown", "Dallas - Galleria", etc.

Maybe that enhancement will one day be added. In the meantime, the ladies could provide an assist by including this information in their ads. I'm surprised at how few do.

I would add NW Dallas/Irving/Las Colinas. Definitely specify "DFW Airport" so as not to confuse with the DFW area in general.
