Feeling knotty!

I really need and want to learn more about bondage and knots. I know quite a bit about bondage already; I just need help with the knots. Any suggestions other than books?
Get onto a local fetish site or a swinger site, find someone in knots, and ask them how they learned....chances are, they would be more then willing to invite you over to help teach you!

You can also find someone in or out of the US Navy...Knots are in their basic training.

I'm sure around any naval port you can always find a load of seamen.

I beleive GWNN has a bondage interest group down there. I know both Houston and Dallas have special interest bondage groups that meet pretty regularly. And Mark Yu is from down around your area and does classes pretty regularly.

Best thing though is to pick up a bondage for beginners book, get yourself some good bondage rope (the books will tell you good from bad), and then find a willing bondage bottom and just start tying them up and learning.

Some things you'll need to pick up are how to tie, how to do it safely, and where you should/should not be tying on the human body. I know a number of fetish models who have been injured (some suffering permanent nerve damage) due to the rigger not being cognizant of the risks, or just not really caring about the model because they were intent on getting a certain "look".

You can pick up some nice bondage rope from stockroom (the were having a sale last week), or Twisted Monk. His stuff is not cheap, but if you take care of it you'll have bondage rope that will last a very long time, not to mention that will be friendly to your bottom's skin! Oh, and don't forget your EMT scissors!!

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. I know the simple ones, read the books, have the rope, and emt scissors, and another Domme around. I have plenty of willing bottoms, but I think I would rather take some classes or join a group. I wouldn't want to risk doing any permanent damage. That would be a pretty shitty thing to do, for lack of better words. I love that pic. Btw!

The meetings themselves are fun and very informational. There isn't any real sceneing allowed, as its meant to be instructional and informational.

With handy instructional videos and the greatest ropes made!

I have found it helps to have a volunteer handy while playing the videos, for practice purposes only, of course!
Don't ask me how I know about this.

I like to tie people up and blindfold them.
