So...what’s changed with Eccie?

Still exploring to see what all has changed with the site. So far, I’ve noticed:

1. Only the Texas forums are back, at least for now (plans for adding more?).
2. All the old reviews are gone. Going forward, though, it appears the Encounter forums will work the same.
3. Premium Access appears to be the same for guys.
4. The ladies’ accounts are changing. Once verified, they’ll have to pay a monthly rate after their introductory period expires.
5. No more provider ads. Status Updates are much more restrictive. Glad to see location first on St. C’s list of allowable updates!
6. The W&I forums are gone, although the main Welcome New Member thread is still here.

Did I get all that right? Other changes I missed?

Btw, welcome back to all.

Of course, almost as soon as I start this thread I see the following in the Technical Questions forum:

It appears the Guidelines may have been edited, as well as the photo standards. Gonna take some reading to see what has changed there....
Where did you hear about the ladies accounts?

One thing I haven’t figured out yet...does a new lady have to pass the verification process first before she’s allowed her first post? I’m gathering that’s the case, although I don’t see that explicitly stated anywhere.
i heard on reddit that the new eccie is trying to do away with the review culture altogether because it created a toxic environment? idk how much of that is true, just going off of what i heard.

But I kind of expected that and rates being gone on encounters.
How else would those not mature enough start.

The “toxic” environment, like it or not is why people viewed.

I may be wrong, but I think the highlighted part has been added to the guidelines (or may have been before the site went down and I didn't notice):

#5 - Membership here is entirely anonymous and for the privacy of our members it will remain that way. That means any effort or attempt to connect a person's real world information to their username on this board or elsewhere will be dealt with swiftly and harshly. This includes real first or last names, employment, medical info, addresses past or present, images, criminal or driving record, etc. We expect everyone who participates here to respect and go to great lengths to protect the anonymity and privacy of one another. Reckless disregard or accidental outing will also be taken very seriously, as will posts deemed by staff to be a 'threat of outing'. In other words, posts which simply imply knowledge of personal details beyond one's public fictional persona or what has been revealed in writing on this board will be dealt with using the same strong measures as actual outing of one's personal information.

Interesting addition. I thought the preceding sentence was clear enough, but I guess there had been enough staff debate in certain cases that they felt the need to provide further explanation.
Porn no longer allowed, either inlined or linked:

"1) Pornography - Sex is one of many frequently discussed topics here at ECCIE.net. We do not want to be too restrictive when it comes to discussions which pertain to sexual subject matter or erotic-themed images, however we do ask that that you refrain from posting images of yourself or other members of this site engaging in any type of sexual conduct. In addition to this, posted images or videos which can be classified as "pornography" should be avoided. This includes avatars, linked images, or URL links which direct to sites that include pornographic images or video."

(from the revised image standards)

I saw that, too, but couldn’t remember if that change had been implemented before the service interruption. I recall a change in image standards a few weeks before the site went dark.
