Caesar banned neither when he became dictator of Rome.

Yeah, a meme caught the OPs eye. Nothing to back it up, is there? Just a “prove me wrong” challenge.

It’s up to the OP to prove their point… the burden of proof lies with the affirmative.

Prove me wrong!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Romans did ban Christianity and oppressed Christians.
Communist outlawed most religions except for islam.

as for guns, communists seized guns after their 1917 revolution. their insanity followed thru of 70 years of terror.

National Socialist Germany seized guns, but only from Jews who owned such weapons. German citizens did not have their guns seized.

the meme is partially true.

Book Burning and Personal Book Collecting by Chilean Dictator Augusto Pinochet

https://www.historyofinformation.com/detail.php?id=3934

This described the private library of around 50,000 volumes secretly collected by Augusto Pinochet during his dictatorship. It seems that the dictator, under whose regime 3,000 people disappeared and nearly 40,000 were tortured, collected one of the largest and most significant libraries in South America, using government funds.

Oh for God's sake - you don't even know the difference between dictatorship and totalitarianism. Let me help this amature out. You're welcome.

Dictatorship- Form of government in which one person or a small group possesses absolute power without effective constitutional limitations. Totalitarianism- Form of government that permits no individual freedom and that seeks to subordinate all aspects of the individual's life to the authority of the government.
