Good morning MS!

Need a little foodie advice...

It seems that a couple of places that I wanted to try or like to eat at before when I was a local has disappeared since I moved.

I already have my specific preferences on Asian Cuisine. However on Thursday I was wanting to take JuJu over to New Orleans but I didn't know that Mardi Gras was about to begin so downtown is going to be a disaster area so can anyone point me in the right direction on where I can get some beignets.

Also I was wanting to check out Bubba Gump's but apparently that restaurant is gone now so what is the best seafood place to go?

Good Morning Kynsley,
Welcome back to MS. I didntknow Bubba Gump had closed, but is no surprise. I ate there one time and it was like eating at Captain D's. Not very good.
I really like Cajun Crawfish Hut in Long Beach on Hey 90 @ Cleveland Ave. The food is really good, as is the price. Just the right amount of spice without being too spicy. Some of the best gumbo I have eaten, IMHO.

As far as beignets, Triplett Day drug store in downtown Gulfport makes them. I haven't tried them myself.

A lot of people seem to like Half shell oyster house on 25th Ave in Gulfport for seafood. More fine dining type atmosphere.

For seafood I like Half Shell Oyster House (http://halfshelloysterhouse.com/) There are 2 in Biloxi and one in Gulfport, Mary Mahoney's Old French House (https://marymahoneys.com/) and also Felix's in Gulfport (https://www.felixs.com/

Hello Ms. Vivian, Margaritaville Café is in the French Quarter, (which is not QUITE as packed as Burboun St area), and has good food and drinks. Close enough to the Riverwalk to walk to and not have to drive. If you don't mind walking and just enjoying the scenery. Over by the Riverwalk is several Cajun Cuesiene places that are outside and inside eating. They are within feet of the Riverwalk's door. You can't miss them if you are at the Riverwalk Mall.

I believe that they serve beignets at the Roasted Bean Coffee Shop in the Beau Rivage. (https://www.beaurivage.com/en/restaurants/roasted-bean.html)

If you are getting them in New Orleans. Café du Monde on 800 Decatur St. is excellent.

Cafe' du Monde for sure!
Guitar I am inquiring about Mississippi not New Orleans. I was told by a close and dear friend Annie from Christopher's cuties that New Orleans is in full swing with Mardi Gras and that's what I want to avoid so I want to stay within the Biloxi Gulf Coast region but thank you for the advice on New Orleans though
Triplett Day Drug store in downtown Gulfport at 14th and 25th avenue has hot awesome beignets every morning. As for a great place to eat Harborview in Long Beach and the Rack house in Gulfport is incredible.

No steaks, but definitely sweets
Rack House has incredible seafood
Now THAT ABOVE ME looks like heaven!!!

Kynsley, that does look good, but I think the BBQ would have been more tasty and fun!
