Just threw a snowball at someone and thought I was going to pass out from the pain in my shoulder!

I feel your pain. If I drop a tool at my workshop.....It seems it would be easier just to buy a new one, rather than suffer the pain of bending down to pick it up.

That's what kids are for. Unfortunately, my youngest is heading out to college this year. I'll have to call all the way to New England to get my stuff picked up.
TTH, you COULD always START OVER with a fresh batch of kids....

Or buy one of those pick up tools!

My SO decided to try to train one of the dogs to pick up things, sort of a useful "fetch". They were more than willing to pick things up, but often then hauled ass out to the back yard or garden where they promptly dropped them. And they often would just pick up things that were just laying on the ground waiting to be used.

Still, he does not seem to be considering "starting over" with a new batch of kids. I think he is more likely trying to convince me that part of my "job description" included being a ' step 'n fetch"

For me, dropping things is not an issue, but looking for things in lower ( worse yet, lower BACK) shelves in my kitchen cabinet. I finally sit on the floor so I can look. Now GETTING UP is a WHOLE 'nother chapter!

Getting old is not fun, but still and all, it beats the alternative!

BTW, while you guys are throwing snowballs for fun, I am trying to locate plans and supplies to build an ark! I need water wings to walk in my back yard and am so tired of always having the bottom of my jeans legs wet just because I had to walk outside!

Lemontrees, now that the snow is melting here in Dallas, we'll need an ark too.
But not for a few days till my sore muscles heal up from all the damn shoveling I did in the driveway.
I well recall when we were there. The SO left for work and mentioned it would be great if the drive was cleaned off when he returned. HINT HINT!

LOL but the down side was there was moisture left after the shoveling, , even after SWEEPING, and when it froze that evening.....

Next time we may opt for just snow and coat the drive with Ash ( plenty from the fireplace) and clay kitty litter!

Watch out for the residual ICE!

I am not missing that at all!
