Should Providers Be Able To See ROS???
After several discussions in different areas of reviews and the such, that's the question...SHOULD THEY??? THE thoughts have been running around that providers have "alter ego" accounts, and I'm sure they do, or providers are being WK'ed in the Men's Longue, which I believe also, as things that have been assigned ownership to me in the ML, that I commented on or just never said. After doing some surfing, I found the providers can see the ROS if they dig hard enough. Makes me not a tinkers damn, but wonder how many donation, service, and attitude changes would take place if this feature was lost, or the powers that be say "fuck it, let them see it, they can anyway"...just my head scratcher for they day...
I'm not really active in the hobby, so there haven't been many reviews. When I have done revews, my habit is to email the provider the text of my review in case there are things she would prefer to keep private. To date, none has objected to anything in the review and all have thanked me for it. Just my 2 cents worth.
Thanks for the input T, but that's just my point. The ROS portion is where to my understanding, we should be able to speak freely, and to keep the trollers and non contributors from using our experiences to their advantage...
It seems chauvinistic, outdated and old-fashioned to deny the provider the right to see the information posted concerning her service. Granted, she can defend a bad review, but to do so means confessing she has seen what is forbidden or addressing the issue in Co-Ed without being able to actually see what was said. That it is unfair is obvious.
On the other hand, as it is there are many more bad experiences than hobbyists admit to in review. No one wants to upset a provider who may then retaliate. If every review was scrutinized and openly debated, there would be no hobbyist willing to run the gauntlet, and the review section would degenerate into a feel good campfire scene with everyone singing Kum Ba Ya, and no one believing anything they read. For the process to work there has to be an occasional bad review.
The system isn't perfect, but it has worked well so far. It has validated the quality providers, given valuable information to hobbyists, and shown a few that they needed career counseling. I am unaware of any provider who disappeared from sight because of one negative review if the body of her work was sound. One vote is not a landslide nor one opinion the whole election. The current system provides useful information that benefits provider and hobbyist alike.
I think that Premium Access including the ROS, should not be able to be purchased! Anyone can set up an account (including a Provider) and gain access, This is wrong. PA should require active participation and/or some screening. There is no way that anyone can gain access to the Girls Powder Room without being a screened Verified Provider. Should be the same in the ML.
I agree to a point, but I have always been told by gentlemen here and providers that they can't see the ROS, then yesterday, I discovered differently. IMO, I think I hear someone tuning a guitar, but in case of a bad review, maybe it should be allowed to the provider in question, but not all that want to see as it stands now. No the system isn't perfect, but maybe tweak it a little???
I agree Moon, but the place I found this info is a freebie...I was pretty stunned at what I saw there, that I was laboring under the impression that only us dawgs were privy to this info...
If they could see it for sure, I am sure some people would be less honest with their reviews! I always send the ROS to each girl that I wrote the review on but I have really not had any bad experiences that I have reviewed. I assume nothing here is private except for PM's and I only think that maybe those are private. I think we should keep the illusion of privacy kind like we have the illusion of passion! The reasoning is the providers can't flat outcall u out on what you said about them because it is supposedly private? Just my 2 cents.
What I'm saying is providers say they can't see the ROS, but they can. Some have said they weren't supposed to be able to. I have never sent a provider a copy to proof read. I just tell the truth. Sending it to her seems like an opportunity to gloss it over if she doesn't like it. Again, I am back to Moon's opinion, adding this thought...Makes you wonder if this is adding to drama and bullshit that raises it head all too often...
I think the illusion of privacy works reasonably well. I suspect that adding another layer of screening for the ML or ROS (and another administrative burden) would do more to improve the illusion of privacy than to improve actual privacy. Locks are made to keep out the honest. Providers who want to see ROS & ML will find a way to do so, and hobbyists who want to pretend that providers can't will be more candid in their reviews and ML comments. I'm pretty sure I've gotten into a dog house or two over the years for comments in the ML, but I'm ok with that. I'm not opposed to tweaking things, but I'm in favor of more candid reviews and comments, so the leaky, imperfect system that is in place seems to be a decent compromise.

It's well discussed on should or should not be seen so nothing to add here. What I would and I'm sure the owners would like to know is how? If you found a back door then let the owner/owners shut it....
As computer illiterate as I am and found it, so can they...hell it's filled with their logos, and if your so desired, you can sign up to leak the info...you seem to be a smart military man Sonoman, do a little digging, it's there in plain sight, but no one pays attention to it...
Short and sweet answer. No, they should not have access to ROS. I think there should be a better summary option that provides a couple of sentences that sums up the whole experience they can view and then the ROS provides the details.
I'm very confident that several ladies have men's accounts which provides access to ML too. There are also plenty of WK's because much of the detail provided in recent reviews and in ML gets repeated back to me many times during an appt. I'm not sure where it comes from but sometimes its seems to be too fast for a WK to pass along. I've had a couple of ladies admit they have multiple handles and men's accounts. When one gets shut down they use another. Tfields is a prime example that he emails the ladies his review before he submits it. They can edit something they don't like or maybe they write the review for him, idk. I don't care how he does his reviews. Its his and her review so if he is ok with what she writes and it states the honest facts then good deal.
I know the mods have their ways to find out who has multiple accounts and handles but how long does it take for them to find out? There are easy ways to keep it hidden too but it takes a slip up to get caught.
I have a sneaky suspicion that there are ladies with men's handles that write their own glowing reviews where the donation is high so they can keep their rates high and others think its their going rate. There are plenty of reasons they should do this.
Keep in mind this is a dishonest trade...
+100 Jim...that's exactly the point I've been trying to get across, but the site I'm talking about helps one hell of a lot. Like I said, a provider told me about this site, and damn if it don't exist...I feel we're damed if we do, damned if we don't...
