Hello! I will be visiting Austin soon and would love to eat a nice steak while I am there What is your favorite steakhouse in Austin?

Steiner Ranch Steakhouse is the place, unless you want to come to my house and have me grill you a steak.

3 Forks - Downtown
Sullivan's - Downtown

Yes, Sullivan's closed in Jan 2018.

Austin Land and Cattle is at 12th and Lamar.

Roaring Fork is a couple of blocks off Braker Lane. It's at 10850 Stonelake.

Pretty soon that old guy in Kyle will post here recommending "Hula Hut on W. 5th St with the views of the river" as he always does. (For the rest of us living in Austin in 2020, just ignore this; Hut's Hamburgers is long closed, and he's just hopelessly mixed up anyway.)

OP will never acknowledge this info and doesn't care, anyway. These frequent "requests for recommendations" are just another form of advertising their visits. The only steak she'll see might be the steak-and-egg breakfast at Denny's.

I like steaks.
