The Jewish feast of Hanukkah (which we're currently in the midst of) is 8 days (or if you're an Adam Sandler fan, "Eight Crazy Nights"). So you don't have to be Jewish to open that 12 days, just Christian (or just celebrate Christmas, whether you're Christian or not)...
