Well it looks like Microsoft was listening and had a change of heart, actually they probably knew they where going to lose money. I'm still going to get both eventually...PS4 first.

I knew they were going to change their policy eventually.

They were literally getting so much toxic heat from the gaming community.

On memecenter, someone posted a twitter string compounding the phail sauce:

Someone asked Xbox support that if they get their xboxlive acct banned, does that mean that they can no longer play the games they paid $60 each for. Xbox twitter confirmed that getting banned ln xboxlive means you cant play the games you bought separately. Under that scheme gamers will have lost hundreds of dollars instantly over stupid shit, and its easier to get your acct banned on Xbox them PSN.

phail....

Planned or not, they are bat shit crazy to think that would fly with the gamers.

They obviously have the technology and the intent (or had the intent until the shit hit the fan!) to carry out the plan, so who's to say they won't implement it in the future...?
Exactly Marcus. I'm not buying a new console until things have settled down and the public has their say. I may just have to jump ship to the PS4. Microsoft really pissed me off with that bullshit. I wonder if they will change their minds over the Kinnect? I really don't want to have a device that can look inside my home without my consent.

This reminds me of the infamous New Coke debacle.
PC gamers don't have a problem with it in regards to Steam, the console gamers got super pissed.
