Mostly non-hobby thread and American Airlines
Any other hobbyists regular flyers? I average about 100K domestic miles with AA a year and one thing I've noticed is that their CS only seems to get worse each month. Not to mention that even being Exec Platinum means little to nothing anymore when you are traveling to the West coast.
Consistently overselling flights and packing passengers in like sardines while offering less and less in the form of refreshment leads me to perceive the airline industry in general as a racket.
Curious to hear about other hobbyists experience with American or other airlines.
Do you fly to LAX? Would be curious if the Virgin US flights are going to cause American to improve their service or pricing.
I was flying every week for two years but chose Southwest. Wasn't willing to pay American prices for their shitty service. Plus Southwest added enough perks that it made their cattle call worth while.
Your right , Currently it is a racket. If any industry needs a bail out every decade or so something is wrong. You know in every industry (except airlines) the customer typically comes first (especially in the hobby lol) but when I go to the airport it feel's like the fort worth stockyard.
