Corrupt Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff

Corrupt Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff sought to have
Twitter censor journalist Paul Sperry and countless other Americans.

This is unethical abuse of office by Schiff to censor a journalist and other Americans who had questions about/objected to his phony Trump impeachment.

These are the corrupt Democrats. Trampling on the US Constitution.

Adam Schiff used his power as head of House Intel to muscle Twitter into banning a journalist and muzzling the reporter who outed his impeachment "whistleblower" as an anti-Trump partisan Democrat, exposing Schiff's impeachment proceeding as a fraudulent political op

What will all the ill-informed far left extremists do now that one of the heros has been exposed yet again as a corrupt fraud. This time for working to violate American's first amendment rights?

Adam Schiff dragged after ‘Twitter Files’ shows he asked site to suspend journo: ‘Expel Schiff from Congress

Critics of Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., were outraged after reading Elon Musk and journalist Matt Taibbi’s latest "Twitter Files" entry alleging that Schiff lobbied Twitter to suspend journalists from the platform.

Published Tuesday, the latest round of the Twitter Files – internal documents revealing how Twitter engaged in censorship and promoted disinformation in tandem with government agencies for the past few years – revealed that Schiff’s office asked Twitter to remove journalist Paul Sperry and others from the site.

Taibbi, who published the Twitter Files post-by-post to Twitter at the behest of Musk, provided documentation showing that "the office for Democrat and House Intel Committee chief Adam Schiff" asked "Twitter to ban journalist Paul Sperry."

The document Taibbi shared featured correspondence between the "House Permanent Select Intelligence Committee" – Schiff’s office – and Twitter, which included a request to "Suspend the many accounts, including @GregRubini and @paulsperry, which repeatedly promoted false QAnon conspiracies and harassed [REDACTED]."

As Taibbi’s documentation indicated however, Twitter was reluctant to fulfill such a request, responding, "we’ll review the accounts again but I believe [REDACTED] mentioned only one qualified for suspension."

In response to Schiff’s office demanding Twitter remove "any and all content" as well as "quotes, retweets, and reactions to that content" concerning its staff members, Twitter flat-out refused.

A Twitter staffer responded, "no, this isn’t feasible/we don’t do this."

Sperry, an author and New York Post columnist, was later suspended from Twitter for unrelated reasons, telling conservative commentator Glenn Beck in August 2022 it was due to tweets of his about the FBI’s raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.

However, Sperry was reinstated to Twitter this week and immediately responded to the latest Twitter Files revelations. He claimed that the real reason Schiff sought his suspension was because, at the time, Sperry was reporting on the whistleblower who exposed the phone call to Ukraine that prompted Trump’s first impeachment.

On Tuesday evening, Sperry wrote, "Around the same time Adam Schiff's office was lobbying Twitter to have me banned, Schiff's chief of staff Patrick Boland was making threats to my employer http://RealClearInvestigations.com about my stories exposing Schiff's impeachment whistleblower & his ties to Schiff's staffer."

In another tweet, Sperry linked to his 2019 article, and captioned it, saying, "Here's the real reason House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff secretly lobbied Twitter to have me banned -- he was angry I outed his anonymous impeachment ‘whistleblower.’"

Which reason was the request for? Based on the post it seems the response from Twitter was them saying no suspension due to Qanon support and promotion. Now it's supposed about Mar-A-lagoon?

I'm sure Sperry is on "the Conspiracy Team" of writers and while I think that is just noise and horseshit, it seems he was still able to write his garbage and sell his product.

Twitter is/ was a private company and they make the rules. He was also suspended for 'unrelated' reasons, (which may be more related than we know) but seems he has earned his vacations. Many requests have been received by Twitter by both political parties.

Who the hell cares what his reason for the request was? It doesn't matter unless you condone and support a congressman being able to trample American's first amendment rights as well as being able to ban journalists who he was writing stories critical of him.

Do you really support that - yes or no?

Rep. Adam Schiff’s un-American effort to silence critics on Twitter

"Schiff’s media manipulation efforts included a pressure campaign by his office to coerce Twitter into banning journalist Paul Sperry from the platform"

Rep. Adam Schiff, local congressman and national media darling, has surfaced in the Twitter Files. Independent journalist Matt Taibbi found internal company correspondence documenting that Schiff’s office pressured the social media giant to ban a journalist from the platform.

Separately, Speaker Kevin McCarthy confirmed that Schiff will be removed from his longtime perch on the Intelligence Committee. McCarthy told Fox News in November that Schiff has “lied to the American public time and again.”

And that’s true. For example, in March 2017, Schiff declared that he had seen “more than circumstantial evidence” that then-President Trump had colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 election. There was no such evidence, but Schiff repeated the lie for years. The congressman, who was chair of the Intelligence Committee at the time, intentionally misled the press and the public.

He was able to use his position on the Intelligence Committee to fool people by implying that he knew secrets that would be revealed to the public in due time.

“Your willingness to continue to promote a demonstrably false narrative is alarming,” wrote the nine Republican members who served with Schiff on the Intelligence Committee in a March 2019 letter that called for Schiff to step down as chair. The letter cited his “repeated public statements, which implied knowledge of classified facts supporting the collusion allegations.” The GOP members also noted that Schiff’s statements “occurred at the same time anonymous leaks of alleged intelligence and law enforcement information were appearing in the media.”

Former congressman Trey Gowdy, who served on the intelligence committee with Schiff, said the California Democrat leaks “like a screen door on a submarine.”

Schiff’s media manipulation efforts, it has now been revealed, included a pressure campaign by his office to coerce Twitter into censoring content and banning journalist Paul Sperry from the platform.

“This would explain why Twitter could never give me a reason for suspending my account, even though I had broken none of its rules,” Sperry wrote Friday in the New York Post. He related that he came back from a vacation to find an email from Taibbi, one of the reporters invited by Twitter owner Elon Musk to review and reveal internal company correspondence. The Twitter Files reporting has documented a disturbing and widespread effort by the U.S. government to suppress freedom of speech. You can read all the material at twitterfiles.co/archive.

Taibbi uncovered a November 12, 2020, emailabout a request “from the House Permanent Select Intelligence Committee (HPSIC) Rep. Adam Schiff’s Office” accompanied by an “attached analysis” requesting that Twitter suspend “many accounts,” including Paul Sperry’s, which Schiff’s office accused of “promoting false conspiracies.” The congressman’s office sought the removal of “any and all content” about staffer Sean Misko and other committee staff, including “quotes, retweets, and reactions to that content.”

A Twitter policy executive who reviewed the request wrote, “We don’t do this.” However, even though Twitter did not comply with the demands from Schiff’s office at that time, Sperry was banned from the platform three months later, without explanation.

One of the requests from Schiff’s office asked Twitter to “stop the spread of future misinformation” about “committee staff who are not public figures and who were not central actors in impeachment inquiry or the 2020 presidential election.”

Jonathon Turley:

There is more evidence of Rep. Schiff demanding the censorship. Schiff staffer Jeff Lowenstein ironically objected to the refusal to censor claiming there was a “slippery slope concern here.” Indeed, there is...and Schiff personifies that concern Schiff's office and the DNC even demanded the censorship of a parody photo of President Biden showing precisely how a slippery slope of censorship operates. While Schiff was publicly denying that he supports censorship in any form, he was pushing to censor individuals, including columnists.
