Back in the early thirty's you could walk into a Gibsons hardware store and buy a machine gun, no questions asked, they didn't have school shootings back then. The people changed not the hardware. We have a people problem not a gun law problem. Originally Posted by goodolboy+10000

That's a good way to "cool off"
+10000I remember bringing guns to shop class to work on them.
When in high school out in West Texas, every pickup in the school parking lot had a rifle and/or shotgun hanging in the back window gun rack. People forget the past when making their stupid arguments.
Society has definitely changed because of many, many reasons, and fixing the problems can’t be done by passing bullshit laws. But, it makes people feel better because they did “something.” Originally Posted by ElBombero

Maybe look at legislation that doesn't allow bail for crazy fucks. Certainly the charges he was awaiting trial for were serious enough to merit not allowing bail.
Instead though , he had another restraining order placed against him, which he broke and killed the woman.
Sounds like there could be a terrible country song written about that....oh wait.
Why not keep him physically restrain behind bars that he can't walk right through? Originally Posted by grean
