I was just wondering about people linking their social media to their ads most notably on BP now. I have noticed a lot are fake or setup for private but still is it not super risky for getting outed or stung? I don't know if BP is using cookies or asking for SM info before posting ads, but still. Here's an ad that shows my concern http://killeen.backpage.com/WomenSeekMen/1-⃣0-⃣0-⃣-real-pictures-sexy-upscale-playmate/24529197 if you click the SM link you can see real name, friends list, etc. I have been anti SM since MySpace came out cause of the possibilities of hacking and personal info going everywhere. Anyways what are your thoughts / insights?

I started seeing that and it's jacked up the paranoia tbh. I never liked browsing backpage and seeing just a number title, "Contact:xxx-xxxx" is not an ad I'll follow. It's worse when they start coming from people you've already met and you think "shit everyone's compromised"

People keep asking me 'Don't you have an account on ********?' I tell them nope, I like my privacy. I like to keep the rights to my pics, writings, identity, etc.

I use BP to advertising still and the Social media option is required to post an ad. For those of us who aren't fake.... This is a good tool for quick easy verification as I post pics and videos on my Private instagram acct. Its not linked to any of my RW information as it is set up for hobby purposes only.
Very easy to spot fakes Now because their social links are fake.

The need for "Private" social accounts are to ensure safety and discretion in who follows and sees what you post.
Instagram is best because you don't have to post Anything to follow or have followers.
I personally don't accept Ghost accounts to my instagram.

Haha, I remember these ads. Luckily, things evolved, and now we have more creativity and engagement in ads.
In my experience, linking can be a double-edged sword. On one hand, it offers authenticity and can build trust. On the other, there's a very real risk of exposing too much personal info if not handled with care.

From a business perspective, nowadays, it's much better to link to your business profiles and platforms to attract more high-quality traffic. I am using adspy to see what campaigns competitors are running. I just inspire from their best strategies and use them for my own projects.
any reason for reviving a post from 6 years ago?
