Guesting vs Disabling Account Question

Would guesting my account cause me to lose premium access? I'd like to go inactive for a while but would really hate to lose all that access should I choose to come back at a later time. What are the pros and what are the cons?

The clock is continual regardless of the status. Although the member may request to leave the staff will make the final determination whether the account is disabled or guested.

To piggyback on the OP, when the determination is made to guest or disable, who makes that determination, the mods or the admins or either? What factors determines whether an account gets guested or deactivated?
