...so all anyone has to do is make up a review from a composite of other reviews......then they can see the full name....but all the other categories and reviews are free to use the providers full fake name...

First, like most review boards, ECCIE does have different info available depending on your level of membership. We call it "Premium Access" but some call it VIP or other things. The idea behind having different levels of access serves a variety of useful purposes. For one, it reduces the amount of info that the general public can see, just from something as simple as a google search, so all the sordid details aren't visible to 13 year old teen boys or others who might stumble on here (most would agree that's good). Also, since ECCIE male members can purchase PA, it is also a source of income for the site (like the somewhat annoying ads, lol). Natural, a lot of guys (myself included) would never pay for PA, so ECCIE allows a guy to get 6 weeks of it, by writing a decent review of their personal experience and thereby giving the other PA members some useful hobby info.
You haven't posted any reviews yet and don't have Premium Access credit, so you probably don't know what you are missing from the reviews. Most guys consider it necessary if they actively participate in this hobby and those who are too lazy to write reviews will usually pay for PA to get the extra info. You are correct that there may be some guys who make up reviews, based on others they have read. There are ways that we sometimes find out and take action, but it's understandably more difficult to prove that an AMP or Strip Club review is fake. It wouldn't really make sense to deny PA to guys who write a legit review of their AMP visit just because a few punks cheat their way into free PA. If a guy isn't going to use PA for his hobby participation, why go through the trouble of reading up on a bunch of them and then posting a fake one? I have to believe that most really want to enjoy some quality BCD time with a girl, so why not post a legit review after they do or why care about PA?
If you're questioning why the girls names (fake or not) are not allowed in all reviews, it comes down to which category of providers advertise the types of services most guys are looking for. Most providers actively try to get guys attention with various ads, here on ECCIE and other sites, so there is no reason to hide the very names they use in those ads.
The exception is in the case of Strip club and AMP reviews and that's why you'll find the sticky below at the top of the AMP/Strip club review forums.

These two categories of providers do not advertise the extras and some do it without the knowledge of their employers and really could get fired if it was found out. Those girls are the ones that the name masking rule was designed to protect. It is less likely in the case of AMPs though and I'll bet that most train their girls well, knowing what we are willing to pay for what activities. This difference between AMPs and strip clubs is why I think a compromise is reasonable. Initials only in the public parts of the review to give a measure of discretion, but putting the full name in the ROS area so that the guys who are legit hobbyists, trying to decide who they might want to see can still get the info!
You'll likely enjoy the board a lot more if you get off the sidelines, tap a few honey pots, write a review to help your fellow hobbyists, and then use the resulting PA to line up your next set of erotic memories!
