Those are my go to's. Good food, good price.

You can always do the classic Acme Oyster House @ Veterans' & Causeway; likewise, New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood does great burger-&-po-boy-food--there must be 3-4 of them on Veterans'. Get the buffalo shrimp po-boy w/slaw. Also: don't make a date soon afterwards, since you'll want to drown your fries in that garlic sauce they have. If you're craving Mexican, I've heard from several girls that the taqueria behind the Super 8 off Clearview on the service road is good, believe it or not.
