I have been receiving emails from a Gmail account to my Rocketmail account, from a supposed to be male that is claiming he knows my real name and Facebook account. He has sent me links and pictures of who he thinks I am??! He says that the only reason that he knows all this info about "me" is because he thought I was his granddaughter?! So, tonight he sends mea link to what is supposed to be his granddaughters face book account?! I have ignored this weirdo, And Wondered is this normal and common? He seems like he is covering up something or pretending to be someone else?!
Any ladies ever have this problem before? PM me for his email, whoever it is, they need a LIFE!
This sounds strange to me. You might let him off gently by asking him to answer a couple personal questions like relatives names, or places you have lived. If he answers incorrectly then just politely tell him he is mistaken and to please not contact you again. Never try to aggravate a nut case, they just get too focused on causing trouble. Also block your e-mail account so you won't get anymore correspondence from him.
I did block him already, and as far as the questions go, there really is No need for it. He told me everything he knows about me and sent me links. What a freak!

Sorry for the problem, BabyD. Blocking and ceasing communication is a good first step. If he does have your real identity pegged, it might be best to determine if he has a handle here so it can be dealt with quickly should he cause problems on the board.
In the meantime, I've moved your thread to Coed discussion instead of the Alert area. Your original intent may have been to post in Infoshare, since you were asking ladies their opinion, but since guys have responded, it will need to stay here.

BabyDallass, I am your father.
I am sorry you are going through this BD. it is not a situation to make fun of, but I must admit I laughed with DV's post. That is an example of the fun we used to have. Reminds me of a SnL post.

Obviously, there's an ounce of you that believes he could be your grandpa or you wouldn't be posting this publically. I suggest asking him for proof. If he can't produce it, chalk it up to a stalker or someone with a mental illness. You need to know if he's your real grandpa because Ark is a small state. If you don't know all of your family, you could potentially be making appointments with some of them. There would be nothing worse than unintentionally sleeping with a half brother or first cousin you didn't know about.
Can you have the creeper water boarded?? IJS
Sounds like he just wanted info from you, or someone to talk to.
Does he want something from you? Is he trying to extort money, services, or a forced relationship of some kind? If he hasn't made any demands of you, he might just be a nut wanting to make you feel uncomfortable. Like others have said, don't try to provoke a nut-job, but just block the lines of communication the best you can. Don't confirm or deny any of the info he claims he knows. I think I would just say "please leave me alone and stop making me feel uncomfortable." It's likely that he will probably just go away.
Willro's advice is sound. However, if you are curious, check "properties" on the incoming e-mail and look for the IP address. Then do an IP search on the originating IP address. If a standard IP, a google map may actually point to he the originator's location and provide more info. It doesn't always work, unless you're the gubment.
Just a thought.
Huck
I would really like to find out who this person is, whoever it is they are trying to scare me out of the business. Telling me things like I will have to work under another name and just all kind of crazy stuff. They sound like someone who is trying to run me off the boards and out my name. Which will NEVER happen I will take your advice though Huck, Thank you!
