Ok, here is the official pre-poll for "The best Mexican food in DFW". I have listed the top 10 restaurants out of the original thread, [ame="http://www.eccie.net/showthread.php?t=7904"]Best Mexican food in DFW - ECCIE - Your source for escort reviews[/ame] in this poll. Once we have narrowed down this list to a couple in Dallas or Mid-Cities and one in Fort Worth then we will post a poll of the top 3 or 4 restaurants to find out where we want to do the Mexican food dinner.

You have the option to select multiple restaurants, so you can choose 1 in Dallas and 1 in Fort Worth.
Joe T's, gross. How big is that menu? Esperanza's is mucho better.
I say elfinix in dallas. They have the best fajita nachos.
Mariano's, the spicy chicken verde is the best around plus the owner invented the Margarita Machine.

Javier's is Mexico City style Mexican food. Been my favorite for 20 years. They have lots of private rooms for private parties. It gets my vote but I'll go with the winner. Whatever and wherever.

I think it's time to set a date. Maybe a week or two after the Margarita Time Party? Week night or weekend? Looks like we could have a nice group. We could pick the Dallas winner or the Ft Worth winner or both and do two dinners. All that is necessary is to pick a date, a place and start taking names. If it's two or twenty two it will be good fun and good food. Of course, since this will be a public place everyone will need to mind their manners. Who wants to be the coordinator? I nominate Selot and/or Cookie Man. They both look well organized.
Awww! My atf isn't on the list....Luna Denoche!!!! Absolutely excellent. Voted Best of Dallas several years running. YUMMY!!!

Joe T's is all about the patio seating. i find the food pretty disappointing. so depends on what you want. great for sitting outside drinking margaritas. go somewhere else for good food.
What about Blue Goose? Love the Alambrada de Puerco.
All, THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN THE METROPLEX IS AT A QUAINT LITTLE PLACE IN ALRINGTON NAMED EL GABACHO. Not a chain, but privately owned and Oh goodness, with out a doubt the best there is.

I dont post a lot, but if we talk MExican food I can give you a tip worth reading. Try El Gabacho.

Ok, the poll is closed, looks like Uncle Julio's in Grapevine edged out Joe T's by a nose.... I will be calling the restaurant tomorrow to set up a date and time to get the dinner together. I have already been in contact with Nicole Preston about the proposed date and she is fine with that date. I just want to make sure that the restaurant can accomodate before I post the date and the time.

I should be posting more information tomorrow night about the "Nicole Preston Dinner"

A whole dinner in MY name? Gee, I don't want to put anyone off their food! But hey, if you just need a good excuse to have a dinner, why not? I'm a good excuse

Can this be a series of "goodbye" dinners? It's only Feb and we have lots of other cuisines to explore
