Growing Trend:Porn Stars Escorting!

And they're more open to doing BBFS to the consternation of many in the "hobby field".

Interesting article:

But I wouldn't have the bucks to see these stars...and the stars that I grew up with, probably look a bit worse for the wear.

Pornstars being providers isn't a new trend, but with the Internet taking away the ability to earn high $$ for most, a starlet being an escort to supplement income is becoming more noticeable.

I like the idea of seeing a provider who is also a pornstar. Along with the obvious "she's gots skills and experience" thing, to me, if a woman seeks out to be in movies she obviously loves sex and being in the "industry". It's obvious when a provider doesn't want to be doing what she's doing, she's only in it as a last resort for the $$. That attitude is a severe turn off for me.

That said - BBFS with anyone in the hobby regardless of previous/other occupations and donation requirements is just playing Russian roulette with your health for a great fuck.

I'll take the feeling of a condom on my dick over the burning of syphilis/gonorrehea any day.

This has been going on for a long time but has been more prevalent with the decline of the porn industry a once 4 billion a year entity it is down to just a little over a billion. Major studios which once kept these girls working have reduced production, the most prolific studio West Coast Productions which 5 years ago was cranking out 30 new features a month and NO compilation movies is now producing between 5 and 10 new releases a month with compilations now averaging around 25% of the montly production, Evil Angel used to produce around 25 movies a month and many of them high budget features, they are producing 10 to 12 movies a month. Many of the larger studios have merged and many of the smaller studios have went under as have many of the large distribution networks. You then add into that about 40% of the potential revenue is stolen through piracy and bootlegging. Where there was once a high demand for ladies in the industry which used to use them up and spit them out like a lawnmower, you now have the studies sticking with seasoned actresses that they know will produce and brining in new talent at a much reduced rate. These girls come to LA thinking they are going to have a 3 to 10 year career and end up doing 10 scenes and are out on the strip circuit or advertising in EROS.

DD is right on. Most people use porn in 5-minute increments. For producers to get people to pay they need to provide the best content possible. That's why they bank on what they know will make money.

Girls always had an outlet to cash in on their porn name outside of porn, but in the past it was going on tour and feature dancing. With many of those clubs dying out, and the internet and tube sites slowly eating porn alive from the inside-out, it's natural more and more would turn to escorting. They have the same acess to the escort marketing sites like this one that independent girls do, but "name" porn stars have other outlets.
The porn talent agencies and 'handlers' have mostly consolidated into big companies just like the rest of the american economy. Some of those companies find it pretty easy to set up another unit of the company that uses the same talent they already 'manage' for an escort business. Look at LA Direct Models http://ladirectmodels.com/site.php?g...me&orderby=ASC (Porn) and The Luxury Companion http://www.theluxurycompanion.com/pa...me&orderby=ASC (Escort).
Don't know if they're run by the same people, but you take away the graphics and the page headers, and those are damm near the same site.
I was lucky enough to have a visit with Mya Mayes a few years ago, before she went UTR. I found her to be super cool in person, and VERY skilled. It was an awesome experience, although roughly double the rates of elite local providers. We kept in email contact for a year or so, but then she left the industry (and hobby) altogether. She was always down to earth and real. I appreciated that about her, and hope she is doing well.

Now, if Lily Carter ever becomes available, I'll sell a kidney to fund that addiction, lol.

I too, visited Mya Mayes several times before she went into porn. She was very down to earth, and was very comfortable to talk to. I wish she was still around, but not sure what she’s up To nowadays but hope she’s well.

And a lot of these girls are 5s and 6s without a talented makeup artist. Studio makeup artists make them 8s and above.

Not every pornstar escorts and some do look down on it. I follow a lot of them on Twitter and there are several popular ones that put out the "I don't escort so don't ask" tweets every other day.

I would say the ones that escort really like sex. You really just have to look and see, but they are a pretty penny to see. There's a lot of talk about what's happened to the porn industry, but I look at it as more like the music industry. There are still big studios and operations, but it's become a really de-centralized structure. All it takes is a camera and the willingness to make it (marketing & computer savvy are great additional qualities).
