Free public parking near by or to valet?

Today I had a hobbiest become very irate with me for asking if there was free public parking nearby(at a downtown hotel) and if there was not I requested that he cover the valet charges so that I did not arrive in less than optimum condition from a hike to his hotel. Of course he thought I was being greedy by even asking this, what do the other hobbiests think about this situation, providers care to weigh in?

Let's see, I already do outcalls without an up-charge, I just dont see the reason for it but thats how i run my business.I find it difficult to drive downtown and find adequate and close parking without using the valet.

Is there a better alternative? Is it greedy of me to ask for him to cover parking charges when there is no outcall fee?

I really just want to see what ya'lls perspective on this is, because I just dont see the big deal for him to cover it when I am making it easier by coming to him in the first place.

Thoughts?

I was going to go long story on this and changed my mind, everyone can thank me now.

Yes, the hobbyist should have taken the parking issue into consideration and paid for valet or ensured the hotel validated your parking (if available and close by).

Parking is always a problem downtown.. When a provider has an incall downtown..I avoid her because I don't pay parking fees. If I was downtown outcall...yes
I would pay for her parking.

I also charge a bit extra to cover costs for going downtown. There are few paid public parking places where there is security on site 24 hrs and depending on the length of time for the visit it can be costly to park downtown especially during certain seasons and events like Fiesta etc. It is far cheaper and less of a hassle for the provider to add a small fee for better parking areas or valet service as opposed to having a car broken into or stolen not to mention dangers against personal safety. If he doesnt give a shit about all that then he isnt the type of person I would care to see anyway. I always take a clients discretion and personal safety into account and I am sure in every way I can to respect and honor that and I expect nothing less in return.

This same guy is a newbie on ECCIE and he tried to tell me he had an account for a year when clearly it was just started the day before.

Last time I checked I didn't have "Stupid" in front of my name.

Makes sense he wouldn't know proper etiquette of paying for parking.

DD,
Without your upcharging for outcalls, it is reasonable he would cover your valet amount. Aren't outcall upcharges intended to cover such incidentals? I would think so.
The majority of the outcalls I do, don't require parking by valet or if they do the gentleman tell me to put it on their room, or offer to pay the parking if its garage style. I had never encountered someone that thought it was outrageous, and so I guess my business practice of not charging Outcall fees failed me. I just can't see charging the gentleman that I drive to their homes or hotels that do not require me to pay.... I thought it was better that way.

I just second guessed myself and thought maybe I was over the line with my request.

I'm also a person who avoids providers located downtown for this reason.

I think it is only fair for the gentleman to pay parking fees. When I travel I always make sure I know how much the valet is at the hotel so I can add it to the fee. After all, the lady is paying for the gas and I asked her to cum to me.

Forgot to ad that YES I agree he should have thrown you a bone before throwing you the bone.

Dick move (and not in a good way) by the hobbyist. Not meaning to get all white knighty here, but a gentleman would have covered your valet, met your hot ass in the lobby and escorted you to the scene of the activities.

You may want to reconsider your no outcall upcharge policy. As a hobbyist, I don't find it unreasonable to pay extra for outcall. The provider is spending her unpaid time for travel as well as fuel and, in your case, parking fees. Downtown is quite a hike for you. I don't think anyone would mind a $25 or $30 fee, especially after spending some time BCD with you.

WTF? Parking is a few bucks and thats all.
If you're pinching pennies like that, then gardening is a more suitable hobby.
