I like to drink wine, and it shows

I also really love to try all kinds of different wines and document many of the new things that I've tried.

Like most people I started out drinking sweet wines and like alot of sweet wine lovers Moscato is my favorite. I love drinking it cold and eating sushi while playing Bayonetta on my PS3.

Above is a picture of some of my favorite bottles. One of my favorite things about the bottles above are the bubbly quality to them, particularly heart and soul and moscato rosa. Sweet bitch moscato isn't as bubbly from what I remember. I remember Fratelli Wines used to distribute this wine that was called Mochetto, and that wine was awesome, sadly I can't find it here locally in San Antonio.

I'm not gonna be fancy and post rare and exotic moscatos I've found. Truthfully, I just go to HEB or any nearby liquor store and buy myself a bottle or two(if I'm seeing a provider, maybe... )

One of the cool things I've noticed is that when I look through alot of provider profiles I see alot of other providers reference Moscato as there favorite as well which gets me stoked.

But its always moscato and I don't see any other kinds of wines referenced that I feel also deserve some attention. So I post them here as a showcase. Some of the providers I've met might see this thread and notice a few of the wines in this thread after their appointments with me. If anyone else sees this thread and is thinking to themselves "awww..... there ain't nothing new here", well then I'll also use this thread to showcase me adding goofy graphics to pictures I've taken.

Canei-
Whenever I buy this, the label doesn't reference the muscat grape as being the key ingredient, but I'm sure it is. They do a bunch of different flavors though like peach, blush, white, etc. Its sweet and has that bubbly feature to it that I love from my sweet wines.

Verdi-
again, just like Canei, sweet and all kinds of bubbly. They do all kinds of different flavors with their wine, apple, peach, and as you can see above raspberry. But this company does alot more of bringing out that specific fruit flavor to its wine. Once again, perfect with Sushi.

Lambrusco-
most of the time, at least from what I've tried, a sweet wine. Most of the time I find it in the red varieties, but every now and then I find it in blush form. This is a really decent sweet wine that gets overlooked alot I think. One of my favorite things about it is the price range, its usually less expensive than other sweet wines, but still really good.

Brachetto-
this is an awesome sweet red wine variety. This particular bottle is very bubbly in nature. a little more expensive than all the other choices one might have for sweet wines, but still really good.

Sweet Lychee Wine-
this wine is teh PWN. I tried this wine when me, my friend from work, and his brother went to Samurai Sushi and tried the sushi there. I love it. Although it doesn't have the bubbly quality I usually go for with my italian-sweet wines, I still love it and its fruity qualities.

Chaucer's Mead -
this is another badass wine, well actually fermented honey. Its very sweet without being over powering. And I feel awesome while drinking this, eating a turkey leg and playing Skyrim. They include two of these spice bags with the wine whenever you buy it. I tried to do the thing where you boil the mead and put the spice bags in with the wine. I didn't like it, it was too spicy and kept adding water to my cup to dilute the spicyness and I did it one bag to half a bottle of the mead as instructed. Better off chugged down chilled and with a turkey leg.

Gekkeikan Kobai Plum -
if there was ever a wine that was too sweet, this is it. I bought it thinking japanese sweet wine? fuck yeah.

"Fuck NO" was my reaction after trying it. I kept adding water to the wine to water it down, the recipe is all terrible and too sugary. I would not recommend this unless you wanted to prank someone.

Alright thats it for now. This is really just a tip of the iceberg as far as all the different wines I've tried and documented. Just wanted to highlight these.

Can't wait to be trying my next bottle, hope y'all like my goofy graphics!

oh yeah, hot links for all the pics in case they dont load properly:

I consider myself a wuss for liking sweet wine also.
Albeit it is Ice Wine that I really do like.
Got started on the old M&R Asti Spumanti (wonder why they dropped the latter from their name?) But love the old *muskat* grape

But make big inroads with another type of brew that I bring. But love the above.
Got some Mead but haven't the nerve to open it.
If you frequent HEB you should try the Moscato d' asti it has a light turquoise label. It is slightly bubbly and has a hint of golden honey! Its my favorite!

Pretty sweet collection there
You know I like my wines! I didn't like mead though. It was too sweet and had a thick type of taste I thought. I enjoy most wines. Maynard James Keenan has a vineyard in Jerome Arizona of all places and his wines are VERY good. I have a bottle of white and red chupacabra I'm saving for a special occasion.

Its cool, understandable, not everyone's tastes are the same, even for fans of sweet-tasting alcohol.

We'll try other sweet wines during future appts
I'm glad you're still my moscato ninja

#moscato4life
It was not bad it was just a little thick tasting I think. I did keep the bottle though

Yes yes we will!

I have tried some of the Moscato d'asti though and I like those a lot.
